Reviews mention

  • Compliment-magnet signature fragrance
  • Seamless, buildable cream blush
  • Natural, defining brow gel
  • Gentle, lightweight cleanser
  • Inconsistent shade inclusivity
  • Sheer, short-lasting formulas
  • Fragile, leaky packaging
  • Variable scent longevity

Glossier earns praise in reviews for effortless, no‑makeup makeup staples like Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the universally complimented Glossier You fragrance, which many call a signature scent. However, reviewers flag inconsistent makeup payoff and longevity, polarizing skincare efficacy, packaging flaws (leaking body oil, cracking lipstick caps, messy Cloud Paint tubes), reformulation disappointments (Balm Dotcom, You perfume), limited shade range, and some products feeling sheer, basic, or short‑lasting.

  • The boy brow is my new go to product, it goes on really easily and stays on for the entire day.

    Feedback

The boy brow dries out quickly.

  • Love the boy brow, cloud paint, and get so so many compliments on the perfume!

    More scent options

  • I'm deeply committed to my Glossier faves like the balm, Body Hero line, and-- my favorite of all-- Glossier You. They've definitely expanded their offerings over the past few years but I'm a big fan of their staple, basic items like skincare and barely-there makeup. Overall thumbs up.

  • I really wanted to love this brand and products. They are cost effective and have a great range of items available, however these products didn't really do anything for me if not adverse impacts to my skin. I was very drawn to the aesthetically on-trend packaging and branding. Overall, disappointed with the products inside however, which was a bummer.

  • I either really love Glossier products or don't care at all. I still wear You every time I go out and love the balm.com, but their actual makeup products don't interest me much.

    More every day basics.

  • Love Glossier’s aesthetic from their website to their brick and mortar locations. I’ve tried a number of products over the years and I have to say, as cute as they are they are NOT for people with oily skin.

    Feedback

Offer a larger variety of products for different types of skin. I love the dewy look but that happens pretty naturally for me…

  • Glossier is just okay. I don't find the skincare that effective and the makeup tends to lack pigmentation and staying power. It's definitely made for people who already have flawless skin so don't expect any crazy results from their products. I will say though that I love their Hero Body Wash and Lotion along with their You perfume. The scents are really lovely.

Higher coverage makeup and skincare formulated for more problematic skin

  • Glossier has great packaging and some of my favorite products that have turned into makeup bag staples.

  • Huge fan of Glossier. Made sure to purchase and try each of their new items as they launched both their skincare and makeup collection. I think I was more amazed and consistent with their makeup line though. Some faves that I always repurchased were Boy Brow, Lash Slick, Stretch Concealer, Cloud Paint, and Balm Dotcom. Tried their Primer and Moon Mask from their skincare collection but I wasn’t a fan.

  • My girlfriend wears the perfume and I always enjoy the smell. It’s become a bit of a family affair for her, as her mom has gotten a bottle for herself too.

  • I have only tried the lip balm because of social media and I can say with 100% confidence it is worth all the hype!

    Cheaper options

  • Glossier is my favorite beauty brand! They have unique and functional beauty products—and they send samples with orders which I appreciate. I love the brow flick, boy brow, and the wowder.

  • Glossier has a few products that it does really well. I really like the skin tint, boy brow, and some of their skincare. Now that there is more competition, their items do not stand out: I am not a big fan of their mascara, balm, and eyebrow pen especially.

    Feedback

Some of the products are lackluster. A once innovative brands needs to switch things up to keep everything fresh.

  • I used to love Glossier. Their You perfume smells great and my favorite product from them is the Solution. Communication with their gTeam is also swift and problems are resolved quickly.

  • I enjoyed the smell of the perfume but it gave me a headache.

Better shade ranges and less greasy products

  • I love literally every product I've used from Glossier. Highlights are YOU perfume and Balm Dot Com. Also, the bubble wrap bags they ship products in are incredibly useful.

  • The products are hit or miss. Skincare wise, I think they have really great products and the price point is reasonable. On the makeup front, I think the products are just “eh” and for this price, it should give more.

  • I am obsessed with Generation G lipstick and the Boy Brow. Would love to keep trying more products!

    Feedback

Was not impressed with the skincare. It was very basic and didn't do anything special for my skin for the price.

  • Glossier has been a makeup staple in my closet for a few years now. Their cloud paint and boy brow have revolutionized minimal makeup! I now see several brands that try to keep the "clean," polished makeup look with a few curated products. I love their packaging and they have great customer service!

  • I have tried almost every one of their products and generally love all of them, have made many part of my daily routine.
