Glossier earns praise in reviews for effortless, no‑makeup makeup staples like Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the universally complimented Glossier You fragrance, which many call a signature scent. However, reviewers flag inconsistent makeup payoff and longevity, polarizing skincare efficacy, packaging flaws (leaking body oil, cracking lipstick caps, messy Cloud Paint tubes), reformulation disappointments (Balm Dotcom, You perfume), limited shade range, and some products feeling sheer, basic, or short‑lasting.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
Glossier is just "meh." I am definitely someone who likes the no-makeup look, but some of these products do nothing. I like the Cloud Paints and feel they're the most "bang for your buck" product they have, but I'm more satisfied by other cream blushes on the market. Their Boy Brows get gloopy after only a few uses, making your brows look messy instead of that nice bushy look. I do *love* their Ultralips once I found a shade that worked for me, and it has become my everyday shade. Their Lash Slick was most disappointing. I have long lashes, so I'm not looking for anything astounding. But this gave nothing. It felt like I wasn't wearing anything and it looked like it too. It also dried up within a month of use. Overall not worth it for me.

If you're lucky to live near a Glossier store, go in to try their products. Everything is so hit or miss that you're better off trying in person to see what really suits you before buying anything.

I absolutely love this brand and the majority of the (makeup) products they put out. The skin tint in combination with the stretch concealer saved me from caking on heavy and dry product onto my acne-prone skin. I think this is such a good brand for an everyday makeup-learner.

The appeal of Glossier to me is its marketing; think easy, effortless, it-girl vibes. My favorite products are the Balm Dot Com (love the mango scent), Boy Brow, and Cloud Paint in Dusk. Their skincare, while packaged nicely, does not stand out to me in any way (ie there are more effective products for a better price on the market).
I like that they don’t have a ridiculous amount of products and they show and describe their products pretty well. The prices are good and the packaging is great. I love boy brow!

The amount of product in an item can go quickly meaning more frequent reordering.
Such a good makeup brand I love them
The lipgloss is so moisturizing! And adds the perfect hint of color. I recommend it to everyone.
Glossier has been great for basics and easing in to make up! Everything feels very approachable and fool proof for the most part. I prefer their makeup to their actual skin care products, which I found to be over scented and low quality. Somethings feel almost useless but give the immediate look of makeup and disappear in an hour.

The basics are great, but the quality is on the lower end of good. Your makeup needs to be replenished fairly often, which generally isn't the minimalist beauty's idea of minimal. Prices are awesome though.
I have a few of their Balm Dotcom and it is my go to LITERALLY! I truly love the simplicity of the product. It is a quick and easy and just helps to give a little pick me up and glow.

I wish Glossier was sold at Ulta, Sephora or even target and not only on their website...
im a die-hard for the glossier you fragrance + the sun shield. the latter has a really gorgeous bright, citrus scent that unlocks a childhood memory of mine (i still can't remember which memory but it's there!) everything else is kind of hit or miss. the skincare is great for a younger person (i'm 30 and stopped using the cleanser and moisturizer at age 26 when i graduated to other stuff) and the makeup always underwhelmed me.
I tried the cream blush and I really enjoyed the natural flush it gave me. It’s definitely more of a natural look rather than a full makeup look but it’d be perfect for teenage girls
I’ve bought this and am in love with the scent!

Great everyday scent that lasts!
I loved the packaging and the product itself helped me a lot.

The texture of the moisturizer should be smoother

I love the Milky Jelly cleanser and Glossier You perfume. I didn’t care for the cloud paint or body hero oil. They have great customer support.
I haven’t tried a lot of their products but the small eye shadow pallet I have is elite. The pigment is amazing!
Have tried a few products from Glossier and have been happy with them all! Boy Brow was an instant favourite and repeat order for me, though I do wish a slightly larger tube was available as I don't even wear much makeup, and find I go through it fairly quickly. Future Dew is great too – I love the dewy texture it leaves my skin with. I like Cloud Paint, though I think I made a poor choice with the shade. Oh, and Lash Slick is a staple for me! Will purchase again from Glossier.

A bit overhyped in my opinion! But the products are cute. I use the coconut balm.

Moisturized my dry lips
Their 'the solution' is one of my all time fave products for getting rid of blackheads and minimising texture. Would be great if they used more sustainable packaging
I have ordered numerous products from this brand and I have to say, I've never been disappointed. The quality is great and really does provide me with that cool-girl, "I-woke-up-like-this" look, and the fact that I can achieve that at a price that doesn't break my bank makes the experience that much better. My favorites from the line have to be the Balm Dot Com (seriously, don't sleep on this!), Boy Brow (perfect for giving model-off-duty) and the Cloud Paints (blendable, pigmented and gorgeous colors). To say I'm a Glossier fan for life would be an understatement!

Nothing -- I've never been disappointed and I don't think you will be either!
