Reviews mention

  • Compliment-magnet signature fragrance
  • Seamless, buildable cream blush
  • Natural, defining brow gel
  • Gentle, lightweight cleanser
  • Inconsistent shade inclusivity
  • Sheer, short-lasting formulas
  • Fragile, leaky packaging
  • Variable scent longevity

Glossier earns praise in reviews for effortless, no‑makeup makeup staples like Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the universally complimented Glossier You fragrance, which many call a signature scent. However, reviewers flag inconsistent makeup payoff and longevity, polarizing skincare efficacy, packaging flaws (leaking body oil, cracking lipstick caps, messy Cloud Paint tubes), reformulation disappointments (Balm Dotcom, You perfume), limited shade range, and some products feeling sheer, basic, or short‑lasting.

  • I'm a big fan of Glossier's balm dot com, which is the perfect salve for dry spots and chapped lips! However, some of their product packaging is lackluster. Though I've previously been a fan of the milky jelly cleanser, the pump's locking mechanism frequently sticks and unsticks, especially when it's jostled in a travel bag.

    Feedback

Be careful with some of the packaging on pump-top products. If you prefer buying your makeup and skincare in-person, it's now available at Sephora.

  • Love the brow product and perfume

    Feedback

The skin line isn’t my favorite.

  • I have tried several of Glossier's products! Some of my favorites are the Balm Dot Com's and the You Solid Perfume. They have excellent products that are of excellent quality. Their skincare is also amazing. Glossier as a brand as a whole is just amazing. I have also visited their Philadelphia & SoHo stores and they were both an amazing experience and I will definitely be going back.

    Feedback

More restocks of products would be nice. It seems like when things go out of stock they are out of stock for awhile.

  • Bought the viral "You" perfume. It is just okay. I will still use it, but it is not revolutionary. I have also used their exfoliating bar soap. Really enjoyed that, but it is a bit pricey.

    Feedback

I like the packaging and the mission, but it tends to be on the expensive side for just meh products.

  • I love glossier's products. I use the balm dotcom religiously. The mascara looks super natural, lengthens, and thickens the look of my lashes. I also love the brow gel. Another super natural looking product that leaves me looking like a more polished version of myself.

Previously i would say i wouldve liked to see it in stores/become more accessible, but it is now avail at sephora! Such an awesome development

  • I bought the Glossier You solid before the rollerball was released. The fragrance lives up to the hype. If it were available at the time, I would have bought the roller ball over the solid. That being said, I think it's awesome that the solid is re-fillable, and it's great for travel or sneaking into a purse since it doesn't count as a liquid. This was the first time I bought a perfume solid, but now that I've had it for a while, I'd definitely re-purchase again. And, of course, it smells fantastic.

    Feedback

I don't have any additional feedback. The You solid is the only product I've purchased from Glossier, and it's great! I can't provide additional feedback about any of Glossier's other products.

  • I've purchased a few Glossier over the years and have found them to be either some of my favorite products or ones I wish I hadn't purchased. I love the Lash Slick Mascara, Haloscope Highligher, Generation G Lipstick (even though the case itself pops open in my purse), and Balm Dotcoms.

    Feedback

I was disappointed in the Priming Moisturizer especially -- it didn't feel like anything nor does it feel like it does anything.

  • Glossier has a wonderful selection of products. the branding is world-class and I have products that I continuously rebuy after finishing them.

    Feedback

Boy Brow and the milk jelly cleanser are my favorite. I have found that the other color cosmetics don't last all day and aren't a great fit for my lifestyle. I am very intereseted in trying Glossier You as I've heard a lot about the fragrance!

  • I'm very "meh" on Glossier products overall. I've tried the mascara, balm dot com, various sparkly eyeshadows, and many friends have the perfume. Nothing has blown me away, and the perfume drives me crazy - I don't like the way it smells and it's EVERYWHERE now. Too musky.

    Feedback

I think Glossier is more hype than quality. It's not cheaper enough, more sustainably made, or higher quality enough to win out over lots of other brands. I don't think it's bad or especially harmful, based on what I know, but they do produce a lot of waste and it's a lot of plastic in their trendy packaging. The mascara brush is very nice, but the mascara is shorter-lasting and flakes earlier, in my experience.

  • Love the makeup especially the cloud paint and lip glosses. Less of a fan of the skin care and facial wash (due to synthetic smell).

    Feedback

Has a cult following due to its amazing branding and overall vibe. I like a few of their products, specifically the cloud paint which is compact, creamy, blendable/buildable, and lasts a long time (lot of product). Lip balms are amazing and good gifts!

  • I've been wearing Glossier for years. I'm still a huge fan of their Boy Brow (after trying many newer brands), but I've found other highlighters and mascaras that feel like they're better quality.

  • I got their beauty bag and it is the perfect travel make up/skincare kit. It came with their Boy Brow which I love to brush out and enhance my brows.

  • The good: Their lash slick mascara is great. It's subtle, comes off with just water, and never clumps, but lengthens your lashes. The meh: The rest of their products I have tried (ultralip, cloud paint, etc.) were just OK. Nothing special. The bad: I have ashy brown hair and brow flick in blonde was way too red.

  • Absolutely love this makeup and even the skincare and cannot get enough!

I recommend this brand to everyone and pretty much everyone I’ve recommended the brand to has loved it!

  • Glossier is... a feeling. Overall my entire experience with them has been great. I obsess over the You perfume, boy brow and their lash slick. Superb products and an amazing price. I look forward to testing new glossier items.

    no complaints, all great!

  • Glossier's Futuredew is a game-changer in the world of skincare and makeup. This multi-tasking product delivers an enviable dewy glow that lasts all day, while also hydrating and nourishing the skin with a blend of nourishing oils and plant-based extracts. The lightweight formula absorbs quickly and leaves no greasy residue, making it perfect for use under makeup or alone for a fresh-faced look. The pump packaging is convenient and easy to use, and a little goes a long way, so it's definitely worth the investment. Overall, I highly recommend Glossier's Futuredew for anyone looking to achieve a healthy, radiant complexion.

  • This 5-star review is solely for the perfume - they have knocked it out of the park! Every time I wear the You perfume, I get told I smell great and am asked what I'm wearing. For the rest of the makeup, I don't think it's anything special. But I buy the perfume for everyone I know!

  • I've tried a good few products from Glossier, most of which I like. Their balmdotcom (I have the one in Rose) is nice, as was the lip product in their Glossier Play line (now discontinued, I believe). Their cloud paint blushes are cute and easy to use as well, though I still find I have to use a sponge to blend it out properly. Their products are mainly for people who want a no fuss, easy to apply and use (no brushes, sponges, etc. needed) makeup look. That being said, their prices are not cheap, and while they aren't bad and I enjoy using them, I believe you could achieve the same sort of vibe/look using more affordable products that equal or even better in quality and makeup longevity.

I believe that with this brand, you really are paying for the packaging and the hype surrounding it. They've done a good job building a brand name and marketing, and if you're looking for something that gets the job done and cost isn't an issue, I would say go for it. However, I believe most if not all of their products are able to be replaced with other products that are more affordable. That being said, I never mind receiving Glossier as a gift, thought I wouldn't purchase them myself anymore!
