Reviews mention

  • Compliment-magnet signature fragrance
  • Seamless, buildable cream blush
  • Natural, defining brow gel
  • Gentle, lightweight cleanser
  • Inconsistent shade inclusivity
  • Sheer, short-lasting formulas
  • Fragile, leaky packaging
  • Variable scent longevity

Glossier earns praise in reviews for effortless, no‑makeup makeup staples like Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the universally complimented Glossier You fragrance, which many call a signature scent. However, reviewers flag inconsistent makeup payoff and longevity, polarizing skincare efficacy, packaging flaws (leaking body oil, cracking lipstick caps, messy Cloud Paint tubes), reformulation disappointments (Balm Dotcom, You perfume), limited shade range, and some products feeling sheer, basic, or short‑lasting.

  • Love the marketing/packaging but the actual products themselves compare to drugstore makeup, imo. To be fair- i've only tried their eyeshadow, boy brow, lip gloss and face powder- so the other stuff could be better!

  • I loved the lipgloss at first, it went on smooth and was extra shiny but it dried out my lips and I couldn’t use it anymore.

  • The first thing that caught my eye (and for many others) was the packaging. It's striking and recognizable. The thing that keeps you is their lovely customer service and fun products. They've been very attentive with any issues that came up for me so feel assured after each time I order that the process will be smooth. Good price points especially for a trendier brand.

  • Glossier makes great products and there stores are such an experience. I recently bought the You perfume and I think the formula has changed. It smells different then when it did a couple years ago. I love there halo stick for a light from within glow and the boy brown is a staple.

  • I don't particularly think that their makeup is anything that cannot be found elsewhere, but their packaging is amazing and I cannot find alternatives to the Glossier You perfume anywhere. It smells so clean and fresh, and I wish I had detergent with the same scent!

  • ah yes-- Glossier. You have never failed me and you have been with me through my bests and worsts. Glossier has a lot of nice, easy-to-use products but my favorite by far is Glossier Lidstar in Cub. It's a liquid eyeshadow that I easily reach out for every single damn day. Easy application and makes you look awake and clean. I am a little sad they changed the formulation for the Balm Dotcoms, but overall a great company.

  • I’ve been using glossier products since ~2016. The one I use most is the perfume! Smells great on my skin and it is probably the most complimented scent in my collection. Their makeup is great for light make up days!

  • Glossier is sort of hit and miss for me as some products are great and others I’d never buy again. I love the cloud paint, boy brow, and generation g lipstick. The stretch concealer is okay but a bit too thick for some occasions. I wasn’t a fan of the perfecting skin tint, and I HATED the skywash lid tint, it was so chalky and would crease super easily.

  • Their lip balm is one of my favorites!! I have the cookie butter scented balm and it smells heavenly. It makes my lips so soft and smooth! I always have it in my purse

  • I like glossier generally, but i find that some of their products are a lot of money for something like glorified chapstick.

  • Glossier makes a number or products. It would be helpful if they had a small trial pack to let you test them shades/types.

  • love glossier and how their products make me feel i just wish they didn’t reformulate glossier you as it lasting power took a big hit and the smell is different to those who know the smell

  • The skin tint, concealer, and blush are in my daily makeup arsenal. The price point is great, the quality is high, and the branding is gorgeous.

  • Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I think Glossier is overhyped. It's way too expensive for what the products themselves are- I haven't been impressed with anything I've tried aside from the Glossier YOU perfume, but even that was pricey for a fragrance that seems to wear off relatively quickly. All that said, their marketing is on point, their brick-and-mortar stores are gorgeous and the packaging is definitely cute. But they could lower the price point if they're going to sell products that are so-so.

  • The products I've tried: cloud paint plush, the solution exfoliating skin perfector, cleanser concentrate, the body hero lotion + body wash, skywash eyeshadow, lidstar eye glow. The make-up is good for that sheer, cool girl, barely there look. I've found all of the products to not have major pigment payoff, which is ok sometimes but other times you want to feel like getting that bang for your buck and not piling on the product and going through it at 3x the rate. The solution exfoliator left a tacky feeling on my skin I did not like, there are much better toners and acids to use out there around or under the same price point. I love the cleanser concentrate, it has an earthy smell that reminds me of a Juice beauty cleanser that I loved. The body hero scent wasn't my favorite, but I didn't hate it. I liked the body wash, and the texture of the lotion was nice but it did clump up on my skin. To be honest, I've purchased a lot of Glossier products at Tjmaxx and the like when I see them, but I would not be a loyal Glossier customer and purchase their products at full retail price.

  • I like Glossier products. They're not my favorite, just because I feel like they're riding a lot on the brand popularity to drastically overcharge, but I do enjoy their products. Fun, minimal branding. Big fan of their lip balms.

  • I am a Glossier You advocate in all of its forms — have worn the perfume for many years now and always get compliments on it. However, I feel like they changed the formulation slightly and it's not the same as it once was. I will still be purchasing it from the initial dopamine hit I get when I spray it, but it doesn't have the same staying power as it once did.
