Garnier earns positive reviews for efficacy—especially its Micellar Cleansing Water and hydrating hair masks—delivering gentle, unscented or pleasantly scented formulas that cleanse, soften, and smooth. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some shampoos and fragrances feel cloying or cause greasiness, micellar water can struggle with heavy makeup unless using the waterproof version, and select products’ packaging or fragrance sensitivity undermines otherwise strong results.

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water is a great budget-friendly option — it removes light makeup and dirt without irritating my sensitive skin 🧼. I love that it’s alcohol- and fragrance-free, so it feels super gentle on my eyes and lips too. But it doesn’t do the best job with heavy or waterproof makeup — I usually need a bit more effort 💧.

Garnier Bright Complete Anti-Acne Booster Serum is affordable and absorbs quickly, making it great for beginners 🌼. It helps with mild acne and brightening over time, thanks to the 4% niacinamide. However, it may not be strong enough for persistent or cystic acne, and the fragrance might not suit sensitive skin.

This was my first time trying this micellar water with PHA and glycolic acid, and I’m impressed! It gently exfoliates while removing makeup—no stinging, no residue. Plus, it’s super affordable and works perfectly with the reusable Eco Pads.

Hands down the best fix for dry, lifeless hair! This banana mask deeply nourishes and leaves my hair soft, shiny, and bouncy. It also smells sooo good—like a tropical treat for your hair! So recommended

This charcoal shampoo really delivers — it cleans deeply without drying out my scalp, and leaves my hair with a fresh, long-lasting scent 🌱. The cleansing feels thorough yet gentle, and the fragrance actually sticks around in a nice way. Perfect for sensitive or dull hair — refreshing and clean every wash! ✨

Garnier is one of my staples for everyday skin care and hair care products. I especially like their micellar cleanser series for removing make up. The hair care products have different lines (e.g. Fructis, Whole Blends), and I rotate among them regularly.

I like the Skin active Micellar Cleansing Water. I've been using this product for quite some time, however, I'm not sure whether the product lives up to the hype. I like the small amount of lathering that occurs, but I feel like this is a cleanser that is better in conjunction with a second cleanser before or after. I currently use a cotton ball or two of this water after I first remove my makeup to get any leftovers. It works well for that and the combination cotton ball and this product provide some exfoliation.

I have used a variety of garnier face and hair care products. This review is specifically for Garnier Micellar Water. There are a number of varieties, but the Rose Water or Brightening options have been my favorites.

Used to use their products as a teenager. Really find the smells make me nauseous now and ultimately makes my hair very greasy.
I love the Garnier micellar water; I typically prefers La Roche Posay for skincare, but I feel that Garnier's micellar water leaves my skin feeling both clean and visibly softer in comparison to LPR. The shampoo and conditioner is good in a pinch, but it's not my favorite-- it smells wonderful though!!
Products do what they should and smells aren’t bad, but this brand tests on animals so I don’t buy it anymore
Micellar cleansing water is always my first step to removing my make up at the end of the day. It melts away my makeup and does not take scrubbing. A little goes a long way.
