Reviews mention

  • Durable denim construction
  • Soft, luxurious cashmere
  • Minimalist, timeless aesthetics
  • Comfortable everyday pants
  • Inconsistent sizing accuracy
  • Boxy, unflattering silhouettes
  • Thin, shrink‑prone cotton tees
  • Narrow, blister‑prone footwear

Everlane proves a reliable source for well-made basics, according to reviews of Everlane, with standouts like Way‑High Jeans, Classic/Cheeky denim, cashmere, alpaca sweaters, and utility/barrel pants that hold up and anchor capsule wardrobes. Reviews also fault inconsistent sizing and boxy, unflattering cuts, variable fabric quality (thin tees, shrinking/pilling), and a drift from earlier simplicity—plus ethics concerns (union-busting) and limited size inclusivity—making the brand hit-or-miss depending on the piece.

  • Great place to buy basics that are "sustainable" I add the quotations because I know there are some questions about how sustainable they are. I like how the styles are versatile and feel like high quaility. Their stores are also beautiful.

    Feedback

    Available but not necessarily affordable.

  • Good quality items but prices are a bit high for basics.

    Feedback

    Better prices

  • some of the best basics around; some of the ugliest trend pieces around. everlane is extremely hit-or-miss, but they make my all time favorite tees, tanks, and jeans.

recent price increases have been pretty extreme! hard to justify a $30 t-shirt that was $18 a few years ago. also, every pair of everlane underwear i've purchased has self-destructed in a year or two.

  • Everlane is still my go-to basics brand a decade after purchasing my first backpack with them. I love their pants and dresses in particular. I find their tshirts to be way overpriced for what they are. You can get thicker, nicer fitting ones at Uniqlo for a third of the price.

  • I've been an early supporter of Everlane and it's really awesome to see them continue to thrive for so long. Some of the oldest products that I have bought from them include a navy sweatshirt and a gray boxy shirt that 8 years down the line still hold up. The quality is excellent. I enjoy investing in clothing pieces and supporting companies that are transparent and don't use weird marketing techniques to lure me in. Their products are modern yet timeless, and pair well as standard pieces.

Keep your classic pieces and styles around for longer

  • The clothing I have bought from everlane was of decent quality and for the most part held up pretty well.

There have in the past been issues with how Everlane treat their staff and the people who make their clothes. They're not as size inclusive as they could or should be, and that's turned me off from buying more from them.

  • I have some tshirts from everlane that I love, wish they still sold the style. I went into the store and the fabric was very sheer on the t shirts.

  • Loved their "100% Human" masks and used them throughout the pandemic! Super comfortable and fit perfectly over an N95 or KN95 for extra style and protection.

    Feedback

Wish that they'd sell them in larger packs -- no longer do as the pandemic winds down.

  • I really like their clothes, and the pieces I do have from them are well made. They've been in my closet for 1 year +.

    Feedback

I know their sustainability claims have come into question, and with production costs I don't see how their pricing is sustainable. The sizing is inflated as well.

  • Love their shirts and sweaters for the office. Simple and high-quality

  • There are several pieces of clothing that I love at Everlane, but it can also be hit or miss on some of the pieces. I'm a big fan of their shoes. They get four stars because they're trying to be transparent. But three stars when it comes to fit of clothing, I've had two tank tops shrink on me and I'm not a huge fan of the high waisted jean. But shoes and outwear and jumpsuits are a huge plus!

  • Bought The Curvy Cheeky Jean in size 30, because I was struggling to find jeans that fit my waist and hips proportionately. They're really comfortable, have a nice stretch. Definitely recommend if you have a small waist, and wide hips. Just make sure to measure yourself, and they'll fit perfectly.

Their greenwashing is quite disappointing, and their fast fashion engagement.

  • Everlane introduced me to slow fashion. I bought a backpack in high school 8 years ago that lasted me 2-3 years until it gave out. Unfortunately, it’s declined massively in quality. I’ve ordered sweaters that have warped in shape; jeans that have stretched out to the point I can’t wear them; dresses that have ripped in 1-2 wears; and T-shirts that have practically washed away in the laundry. I even ordered two colors of one sweater type (a boxy thick-knit crop), and one shrunk while the other stretched and became too big. Also, Everlane’s “radical transparency” has shown to be a myth. I have heard that they squashed attempts at unionizing in their East Asian factories as well as one Vietnamese-American blogger who, though Everlane worked with a factory near her home town and sells items she likes, urges people not to buy from them. Their corporate culture is discriminatory against non-white people, and their minimal attempts at expanding sizing is pathetic. Their mission of sustainability has been totally destroyed by the constantly changing, heavily seasonal styles in their inventory.

    Feedback

Everlane needs to return to its roots: it needs to actually support a mission of sustainability by making high-quality clothes that last more than a season, even if they’re pricier. It also needs to massively overhaul its treatment of its factory workers and POC employees and customers.

  • The pieces are minimal & encompass the ideal millennial capsule wardrobe vibe. The prices are rather pricey though, and the quality does differ depending on the piece. I've really enjoyed the cashmere sweaters & rain jacket I've purchased from them. The cotton pieces I've purchased have shrunk and warped after washing. I also appreciate the strive to be more conscientious with manufacturing practices, would like to see more information on fair wage practices from them though.

    The cotton quality.

  • I really like this brand, which I've been a customer of since its early days. The "pay what you want" option for certain items was really cool, and I love how they are transparent about all the costs that go in to each item. They've expanded a lot since then but seem to have stuck to the original mission. This is the epitome of quality, upgraded basics at fair prices.

  • I’ve been ordering from Everlane for years. Unfortunately, the shirts/tank tops in my last order were of very poor quality. Stitching come out of 6 of the 8 tops on first or second wear.

    Feedback

Quality. Stitching comes undone too easily.

  • I have the ReNew Long Puffer and it is the best winter jacket I own. If possible, I like to avoid down feather jackets since I don't like when the feathers come out and go everywhere, but this jacket is made out of 100% recycled PrimaLoft insulation. It keeps me warm outside and I love that it's made out of recycled materials

  • Ordering was smooth even to Europe - no need to worry about taxes as they were already calculated in the order. Really nice everyday clothes and true to size. Cashmere sweaters and jersey dresses are my favorites.
