  • Cafe-level flavor consistency

  • Smooth, strong iced lattes
  • Excessive packaging waste
  • Freezer-space requirements
  • Limited box customization
  • Occasional bitter flavor notes

Cometeer Coffee earns strong reviews for delivering cafe-level flavor and exceptional convenience—flash‑frozen capsules dissolve into smooth, fresh‑tasting coffee that shines for iced lattes and quick hot cups—yet the brand draws criticism for excessive packaging, freezer-space demands, and subscription frustrations. Reviews also note inconsistent customization of roasters/flavors, occasional damaged or melted pods, and a few complaints of bitter taste or very high caffeine, making it outstanding for speed and variety but imperfect for sustainability purists or those wary of subscriptions.

  • Really cool concept! Great options from some of my favorite coffee shops, and the convenience is unmatched. Definitely a great pick if you have limited kitchen space. I learned about this brand when they did a demo in my office, and their team did a wonderful job explaining everything!

  • Really liked the coffee and so easy to use, but it seems like a lot of wasteful packaging and is a bit on the expensive side. If you want a quick option though it might be worth it.

  • Fair warning: I worked in the third-wave coffee industry and have invested heavily in our at-home coffee experience. I am always critical of "fast" coffee, but Cometeer has its place for the general coffee hobbyist or the higher-end aficionado. While they can take up some precious freezer space, the truth is that these pods are 10x the taste and quality of any other instant coffee that I've had so far. I personally love the light and bright options, which feature some of the top roasters in the country, like Onyx or Equator. Being able to try out different styles is a great option, and has led to me trying coffees from these roasters as a result. We try to always have a pack of these in the freezer for visitors or my parents, who don't feel confident grinding their own coffee and making an espresso or pourouver in the morning. Parents: If your time is limited and you only have 20-40 seconds to look away from your kiddo to make coffee, then this is the right fit! It was a god send in the first year of being a dad.

  • As someone frequently running between meetings while working from home, I'm usually keeping an eye out for anything that makes my mornings more efficient. Cometeer makes great coffee and is a big timesaver for people who don't have the time to grind and brew fresh cups in the morning. These capsules are just as easy to use for cold brew prep as they are for making drip coffee, though they definitely are on the expensive side.

  • I really enjoyed my cometeer coffee - I got the multipack with four different brands and loved them all. The option to get a mixed variety of roasts was appreciated and I could try several brands I haven't had before. It's also super convenient to use and I liked experimenting with making hot and cold coffees, putting the pod in my coffee machine, making lattes, etc. The only cons are it's a bit pricey and for me personally, it makes slightly less coffee than I'm used to having.

  • I was extremely impressed by the quality of each shot I tried. They were able to preserve the freshness and flavor of the espresso! And they were easy to thaw and accessible for my on-the-go days. Thinking more economically, the pods are technically cheaper per capsule than getting a double espresso shot at a coffee shop if you also factor in tips, alternative milks, etc. A big note to folks trying Comeeter: Please follow the storage instruction when your box arrives! Throw all the pods into your freezer STAT!

  • LOVE. Cometeer makes my mornings so much easier AND saves me money while tasting incredible.

  • I wanted to have a quick and easy coffee option in the mornings.

The coffee is delicious and easy to make. Packaging is simple, clean and I love that it’s environmentally friendly!

  • I've subscribed Cometeer since trial. Good quality, can taste the flavor of power-over coffee. The only drawback, however, is it doesn't smell like coffee: concentration exile all scenes.

  • Skeptical at first, but honestly this product was such a surprise to me. Great for iced lattes and really helpful for days when I'm rushing out of the house.

  • i'd consider myself an intermediate coffee snob, and cometeer is actually super impressive in taste and very convenient!

  • Had to throw out nearly 1/4 of the coffee I received due to a hole in the pods. Cometeer wouldn't replace the damaged items.

  • horrible business practice. I signed up for free trial and apparently there was a VERY fine print which meant I signed up for recurring shipments every month. They sent me a new shipment after the free trial and charged me $75. I called to explain that I didnt want that and didnt know I had inadvertently signed up for membership and I would be happy to return the coffee for refund. They refused to refund me and proceeded to charge me anyway. Buyer beware here! Really terrible customer service and sneaky business tactic.

  • 2 put of 4 of their flavors in my box were crap and when I reached out to them to improve the experience days before getting my second subscription order sent out they waited till last min to reply that they cant customize boxes and that I should opt for different box but when I asked for that option they dissmissed me and said that its too late to change my order. then i added a barista option to get a better variety brews that won’t just be thrown out and they lazily just added the same flavor as one of my others wtf? Terrible experience— in end paying $3+ per cup and feeling like an idiot — say they’re working on giving people option to customize but that won’t solve the dismissive customer service experience

  • I’ve been a subscriber for several years. BEST coffee on the planet, hands down! I look forward to rewarding myself every morning with a delicious cup of Cometeer. Delivery is efficient and flexible. Highest recommendation for this product.

  • I love this brand. My boyfriend loves cold brew and I like hot coffee, but in a small NYC apartment I do have room to do all the brewing things that coffee comes with. This makes it SIMPLE! My only caveat is that you have to run it under water for it to melt.

  • My fiancee and I are avid subscribers to Cometeer. He has his hot -- microwaves the water then drops in the pod -- and I have mine cold -- I set the pod in the fridge (from freezer) overnight to defrost, then make an iced latte in the morning. The blends are delicious and strengths are useful. We love the variety and ease!

  • I've been loving cometeer coffee for the variety of top quality coffees you can try, hassle free. No expensive tools or detailed brewing processes-- just add hot water. The coffee has all been truly delicious. I've only found 2 downsides: the coffee is very very high in caffiene. Like, very. You will want a second cup, but you really shouldn't. I saw somewhere that their extraction method makes a cup have twice the amount of caffiene of a normal cup. It's also a bit harsh on an empty stomach in the morning. But, knowing you're having a perfectly made cup of specialty coffee with no variance? Totally worth it. Just have with food and stick to 1 cup.

Should have a report on their site about caffiene level and acidity/ PH.
