CeraVe earns strong reviews as a gentle, dermatologist-recommended line that effectively hydrates, calms acne, and supports sensitive skin—especially through staples like the Hydrating Cleanser, Foaming Facial Cleanser, Moisturizing Cream, AM/PM Facial Moisturizing Lotions, and Healing Ointment. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some moisturizers feel heavy or cause breakouts, certain cleansers can be drying or under-cleanse, SPFs can irritate or feel oily, and concerns arise over non–cruelty-free status and perceived harsh or endocrine-disrupting filters in some sunscreens.

They offer a ton of fragrance free options for people who have fragrance sensitivities. I got all of these samples from my dermatologist. Considering I have dry and sensitive skin, a lot of their products are meant to treat that, didn’t work well for me. Their gentle face washes were too drying for my dry skin. But their moisturizer is one of the few that helped combat the eczema I often get on my hands which is why this is getting a higher rating.

I use this product everyday. The AM moisturizer with spf I use before my makeup. I use the PM one before bed. I feel like my skin is healthier and looks clearer since I began using it during the lockdown.

If you need a simple but effective lightweight moisturizer to repair and protect your skin barrier, CeraVe is the one. Just last year, I had really bad inflammation from using one of my friend's exfoliator that literally burned and ate away my skin. Not even a week after using Cerave I started seeing progress, today you won't even be able to tell how bad my skin was inflammed, so big shoutouts to CeraVe.

Animal Testing
I'm curious how this product is tested on animals. Its 2025. I would hope this barbaric act would have been stopped in the beauty world. It's bad enough that it's done by pharmaceutical companies. But come on people...for the sake of our moisturizer or make up?? The afterlife may be a little hotter if you're torturing living beings for the sake of some cream or mascara. Please stop using animals this way!! You're taking something helpless and innocent and destroying its life for some vain, inexcusable purpose!

My skin is so annoying. At times my face would be oily with acne or be dry. But ever since I incorporated CeraVe into my skincare routine my skin been flawless, and I will never stop using their products.

I bought the cream moisturizer, day and night face cream. Overall I think it’s a good product but the night face cream is a little light weight for me because I have a dry skin and I always wake up with a dry face unless I have to use face oil.

I love their products and they don't irritate my skin, as I have sensitive skin. However with the hydrating cleanser I personally don't like it as my face doesn't feel clean after using it.

In July 2023, I was on the hunt for an affordable gel/cream cleanser because my current one was running low. After some research on gel/cream cleansers, I opted for the Cerave Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser. With my combination skin, finding the right cleanser is essential to prevent irritation. It's been two months since I started using the Cerave cleanser. It's fragrance-free and incredibly gentle on my skin, effectively removing waterproof mascara and lipstick. I wholeheartedly recommend it as an economical choice for a second cleanse. Plus, it comes in a generously sized bottle, which is great when you're on a budget.

Me and my sister have had really bad acne ever since we became teenagers and these products were the first to make a huge difference after trying so many skincare products. They are also very affordable. We truly recommend it a lot. We attached photos of the products that helped us the most :)

I've been using CeraVe products for a few years now and they do it the best! I use the Moisturizing Cream, Hydrating Facial Cleanser, Hydrating Toner, and the Facial Moisturizers for AM/PM as part of my daily morning and night routines.
Feedback
The bottling of the brands is very similar. Sometimes I accidentally use the pump-lotion instead of my hydrating cleanser.

For the money I think CeraVe is clutch. I keep this in our shower at all times!

I love the moisturizer with spf 50. I use this daily and is perfect for my fair skin.

Easy to apply but not really effective. Just moisturising

Have a child with eczema. Best stuff ever!!!!

Best under eye cream I’ve ever had! Helps to get rid of dark circles under eyes.

I have the hydrating cleanser and it’s my fav water based cleanser of all. It leaves the skin feeling smooth and clean.

One of the best Moisturizer out there... And it is cost effective

Good but not great. I would say that my experience using CeraVe was beneficial to my skin but not life changing. I felt as if their products were doing the bare minimum and that most of their value prop is that they were developed with dermatologists which is already a pretty common thing. It's in the same camp as Cetaphil for me.
I get extremely dry skin on my knees and elbows and this cream works so well for that! I also love using in the winter months all over the face and body. The hydration lasts all day and skin looks so great after I apply

You can spend a LOT of money on skincare and not really see a difference, but CeraVe has been a proven winner for me. The moisturizers work beautifully on my dry skin and I never feel like I have residue remaining on my skin after I apply it. It's affordable, it's convenient and it works. I love this product.
