Brita reviews assert that the brand works: reviewers consistently report clearer, better‑tasting tap water and long‑lasting filters, while citing strengths like convenience and environmental benefits and weaknesses such as mold/algae risk, bulky pitchers, and costly replacement cartridges. This makes Brita a practical buy for people who want reliably improved tap water and easy recycling options, but less attractive for those worried about plastic pitchers, maintenance, and filter expense.

  • Brita water filters are a staple for me. I find they are an affordable and environmentally friendly way to improve the taste and quality of tap water. I have had the pitchers in the past but now have a couple of the filtered water bottles. These colorful bottles make it easy to have filtered water on the go, and the filters last a long time, making it worth the cost.

  • My husband and I switched to Brita around a year ago and it's so much better than the other water filter we were using. The filter lasts much longer and the water tastes great! If you take good care of it, it'll last ages!

  • I've used a Brita filter for over 2 1/2 years now. I do much prefer it because I can drink the tap water safely and inexpensively. The filters last a really long time at least for me. I like that the brand partners with a recycling system to help recycle old filters.

  • Brita is the OG water filter for a reason. They make it easy to drink tap water and feel ok about it. The replacements aren’t absurdly priced. 5/5. I appreciate Brita’s range in price points, sizes, colors, and functions of pitchers and coolers. When I was growing up in DC in the 00s, the city’s tap water was so bad that government sent households brita filters and every month they FedExed (not USPS) replacement filters. I think it really said something about the water quality and the power of Brita that they ran that program. It also probably says about how poorly the DC city gov’t was run that they didn’t use the federal mail system but a private, more expensive shipping partner for monthly replacements. But I digress… Brita saved our drinking water! And now 20 years later, in a new city I’m still buying Brita.
