  • Distinctive, sophisticated fragrances

  • Impressive room-filling throw
  • Long, clean burn potential

Boy Smells earns strong reviews for distinctive, gender-inclusive scents—standouts like Hinoki Fantôme, Kush/Cashmere Kush, ST. AL, LES, Cowboy Kush, and the Slow Burn collaboration—plus chic, giftable packaging that often fills rooms and lingers. Reviews also flag inconsistent performance: tunneling, weak or overly strong throw depending on scent/size, smoky snuffing, occasional label/QA issues, and rare glass or soot concerns, with perfume reception more polarizing than candles.

  • I have only owned a few boy smells candles but I can say with my whole chest - these are so beautifully made and high quality . Very strong scents but not too strong ; just worth the money! My favorite was the slow burn Kacey musgraves collab. I need to get another one soon! 11/10

  • I recently received a Boy Smells candle as a birthday gift from a friend, and it's been an absolute delight. The scent is rich and inviting, creating a warm, cozy ambiance in my space. The candle burns evenly and slowly, making it last, and the packaging is both stylish and elegant. It's a wonderful addition to my home, adding a touch of luxury and relaxation

  • doesn't stand out to me anymore as a candle connoisseur! Design is a bit bland and I'd rather go for something more quality in terms of candle performance, or more fun in design & smell profile.

  • I received the mini holiday pack and the candles smell great and last a long time! Super cute packaging and great scents to pick from.

  • Love the wide range of scents they have, and the prices are pretty decent. Plus, it's awesome to back a queer-owned business!

  • Way too fragrant. I wish they would have a more natural scent option. Cool branding.

  • Nice smelling candle, but almost a little too strong for me. Pretty pricey for the product.

  • Favorite candle company by far. Kush is to die for. It is more expensive then I would ideally spend for a candle though.

  • I love the BoySmells candles and have tried several different scents (currently I have Gardener and I also love Poly-amberous). The candles have good longevity and throw, but I do think they’re quite expensive for the size. I haven’t purchased their perfume, but I love the focus on making scent a gender neutral experience.

  • I’ve eyed this product for a long time. It’s a nice smell almost too light, not strong enough to fill an open space. The wick is off center so I’ve burned through only half of the candle. That’s a huge bummer and worth knocking off stars. It’s a very expensive candle for a light scent and off centered wick.

  • I'm a huge fan of Boy Smells candles, which make a great gift to others or for yourself! Love the signature pink packaging, and always get a ton of compliments on the scent.

  • I have the Kush (paying homage to the cannabis flower) candle which smells warm, fresh, and floral without being overpowering. Love the sleek design too!

  • The candles smell amazing! I have also purchased a few fragrances as well when the packaging is great quality. I loved the Kacey Musgraves collab! I have purchased for family as gifts.

  • The LES candle is my favorite! These candles feel luxurious and elevated, I can't get enough. I love to give them as gifts too since they are so aesthetically pleasing

  • I’ve only tried one candle and I love it. I just wish they used wood wicks instead.

  • I love the luxe look of these candles and the scents I've gotten so far are very pleasant.
