Who Gives a Crap earns largely positive reviews for sustainable, plastic‑free toilet paper and witty, display‑ready wrapping, but opinions split on softness and thickness. Reviews praise the premium bamboo rolls for being soft, strong, lint‑free, long‑lasting, and subscription‑friendly, while recycled options and some recent batches are described as thin, rough, or downgraded in quality; tissues and paper towels skew less absorbent and softer than desired.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
I like the brand, and appreciate what they are doing. The quality is a step above dollar store TP but leaves a lot to be desired if you're looking for a cushy paper product.
Feedback
Love the sustainability and I believe there's a possibility that these could become more popular, but the TP was not gentle enough for me.
Love the packaging! The quality is decent, could be a little thicker.

I know what you're thinking, it's just toilet paper so who cares what kind you get? Well I promise if you try out Who Gives a Crap you won't regret. Fantastic subscription service, cool packaging, and an overall great product that's sustainable.
Great environmentally friendly toilet paper, got to go for premium the basic is too thin.

Recently stayed at a hotel that used this brand of toilet roll. It felt like a luxury product and the design of the packaging was so attractive they’d opted to keep extra rolls on display. I have looked at it online and thought I personally couldn’t justify the price over and above the brand I usually buy.
Love the branding and packaging, and the toilet paper is great too.

Shipping in smaller quantities
I never want to wipe my bum with another toilet paper ever again. This brand is so fun and quirky, that I was instantly attracted to its packaging and TOV. But thought, maybe they're one of those brands that look cute but the product quality disappoints. I was so wrong. Their toilet paper is AMAZING quality - super soft yet thicccc?!? And toilet rolls have never looked cuter sitting in your bathroom! Seriously, with regular TP, I store it inside cabinets and away from the view. But these are packaged in such fun and colorful ways that even if you're running low on storage, you can leave them out and it doesn't look shabby. Overall, I love their brand mission and their marketing is in my top 5 favorite brands of recent years. Super worth the money, the math checks out and so does the product!

If I had to be nit-picky - When I was first introduced to this brand, I wish they had a smaller pack of rolls that we could order to test it out. But now that I'm familiar with it, I'm always ordering the large pack since you can just store it away indefinitely till you run out!
I have used both their tissues and recycled TP. I love the packaging first of all -- great to put in the bathroom as a display. Very comfortable product. Feel-good purchase, knowing the paper is sourced ethically. I have yet to try to bamboo option. Also, the emergency roll always cracks me up!
Feedback
I'd be interested in a coreless roll option, not sure if that's viable. Looking forward to trying the dream clothes and paper towels.

I love that I can buy sustainable bulk toilet paper for the office! I also don't have to worry about hiding it away in storage because the packaging is so cute. It's also just great toilet paper, its not charmin ultra plush but its also not the tissue paper in stores bathrooms.
The bamboo: the convenience was fantastic, definitely lasted for a long time, but it was not very thick or soft. It was bad
Feedback
I don't know if it needs improvement, it would be great if more public places would use it, as you're already expecting thin, not very soft TP everywhere but at home.
I love the packaging and the amount of TP you get in a box, but the recycled paper is a little thin and rough.
Feedback
I wish the recycled paper was a little softer and perhaps a 3-ply.

This is toilet paper. It's great. What sets this apart is the colorful packaging and sustainable product. You won't feel like you need to hide the backup roll out of sight!
Great packaging, love the mission, but it's not the softest toilet paper you'll ever use.

Good product. Cute marketing. Good for the environment.
Feedback
The product does not feel super soft.
Somehow I have found a chic toilet paper to keep stocked in all my bathrooms? Love that it is delivered to me and packaged so well. This was a lifesaver during the pandemic.
Feedback
Could be slightly softer.
The designs are really cool, feels like they should be out for display, I also like their materials and packaging. No plastic!

Gave this a shot for fun 🤡 it’s not as soft as charmin but… since it’s better for the environment it’s not terrible. Great alternative!

I ordered this during the pandemic and LOVE the mission. The delivery is perfect. The subscription is great! Love packaging. The paper is a bit thin.
Feedback
I wish paper was a bit softer and thicker but love convenience and low packaging.
Love this brand. High-quality toilet paper.
100% love their branding and fun way to reuse your toilet paper wrapping. It was a little more expensive than the standard toilet paper at the local store. Who Gives a Crap had saved us big time in the toilet paper crisis a while back as a big box lasting forever.
Feedback
The paper was a little thin for my partner's liking, so we switched back to the normal one.
