I’ve used Verb’s ghost shampoo and conditioner before and thought I’d try their Hydrate line. Wow - this was literally the worst smelling product I’ve ever put on my hair. It had a straight up intense chemical odor that followed the initial fragrance in both the shampoo and conditioner. All I could think about was the formaldehyde reaction that caused hair loss in Deva and Monat products. Hard pass - I returned it and told the Ulta associates about the smell. A friend of mine smelled my hair and agreed that it was unlike any “fragrance” she had ever smelled in a shampoo. I have long hair which is a total production to wash and dry it. I had to rewash and dry when I got home after work.

the ghost oil smells amazing and helps with frizz, even on dry hair. a must-have in the arsenal. a little goes a long way - so much so that using too much can leave a greasy residue, but once you get the right amount it's perfect.
