Reviews mention

  • Timeless, minimalist aesthetics
  • Versatile, dress-up-or-down styling
  • Sustainability-forward materials ethos
  • Often durable, long-wearing construction
  • Stiff tongue causes rubbing
  • Inconsistent arch support comfort
  • Occasional premature sole wear
  • Sizing quirks and narrow fit

Veja earns strong reviews for chic, versatile sneakers that pair with everything and often last for years, but the brand also draws criticism for stiff break-in, ankle-rubbing tongues, inconsistent comfort and support, and durability issues on certain models. Reviews cite standouts like V-10, Campo, Venturi, Esplar, Rio Branco, and Condor 2 for style and everyday wear, while noting sizing quirks, occasional squeaking, and soles or logos wearing down sooner than expected.

  • So cute. I love that they are vegan leather and I love the way they look with dresses and jeans.

You need to actually buy your size. I bought mine too small and they destroyed my heels / had to ducktape them to protect from blisters.

  • My everyday shoes. I love Veja. I have the white leather with cream V and they are perfect in the sense that they're not too branded, not completed unbranded. They're comfortable, last forever, and are the perfect compliment to literally any outfit.

  • Just got my first pair. I was having trouble with foot pain that I assume was plantar fasciitis or something, and these solved that. my ONLY complaint is that they fully squeak when I walk. not sure if that will get better as they get more broken in -- we are like a month in now! I've walked a lot! -- but the squeaking is pretty loud, so I try to wear them on days when I'm not going to be in quiet places and trying to impress anyone....

  • My V-10s have held up really well for the past 2 years and they’re still going strong! I love that they can be dressed up for work or worn casually. Definitely will be repurchasing another pair once my currents ones are worn out!

  • Absolutely would recommend. Veja has been my go-to brand for casual sneakers to wear with various outfits. They are very comfortable (far more comfortable than other more expensive brands often recommended by influencers), and I've been able to wear them for hours while trekking up hills and across cobblestones. For those that may have issues with the tongue of the shoes rubbing against their ankle, it's easy to shift the tongue slightly to the side and then you don't feel it anymore.

  • Though i have not tried these shoes myself, i know a lot of people who absolutely swear by Veja. I am impressed by their timeless designs and innovative materials.

    Brand/artist collabs?

  • Loved the style of the shoe, great color variations. At first, I found them very uncomfortable but now they're ok.

  • Their new running sneakers are a 10/10. They look great, are super comfortable, and are very well made.

  • As a tomboy, uniform-keen, neutrals-loving gal, these are not merely sneakers to me, but rather a core closet piece. I’ve had the same pair for over three years and the quality holds up my closet still!

  • I like the way they look a lot, however for longer term wear they're not the most comfortable especially for the price. In addition, the laces have started wearing out around where they tie which isn't great. For an everyday shoe there are better, more affordable options out there. For a purely fashion sneaker to wear occasionally if you feel like investing they'll probably work.

  • Love the brand and really love the mission. The shoes are quite comfortable but definitely need to be worn in before they feel good.

  • As much as I would have loved to love these it was a bit of a disappointment. I don't think the quality felt good at all and they hurt my feet with sharp edges. I love the sustainability story of the brand though and the shoes look nice.

Better quality expected at that price point

  • bought the venturi trainers on sale, wouldn't buy full price but i really like the design and this style is pretty comfy

  • Love the look of these shoes so much. I was an avid Veja fan for a while and ran through three different pairs of the Velcro Vejas. My only problem is that the insides are completely made out of rubber and therefore are harder to break in. But, once broken in they are great staples and super reliable.

  • the shoes are super nice but they take a while to break in. Once you do, they are super comfy

Maybe have a less stiff/less long tongue, specifically on the campo shoes

  • I love my Veja sneakers so much. I got my Veja Campo Sneakers back in December of 2021 and they are still in great condition. Usually when I get new shoes, they kind of hurt me but with these I had no problem. I love that these shoes match with a lot of my everyday outfits. I love that they are so simple and do not have an overwhelming design. Veja shoes are a bit pricey but they are worth it especially because the shoes are made with organic materials. I am definitely going to buy another pair soon.

  • The best minimal shoe for me. Not bulky at all and looks amazing. I wore it to work and I wore to walk around while traveling. Super comfy and stylish!

  • The Esplars' are by the far the comfiest leather sneaker I've owed. Right from the start they were a joy to wear with minimal time spent breaking them in. They can easily be styled dressy/casual or with athleisure wear.

  • My favorite shoes on earth. I wear mine almost every single day. They are so high quality, match everything, and comfortable. Highly recommend!!

  • My go-to sneakers. Vejas are high quality and can take a beating! They are also so comfy once you break them in. Perfect for traveling and casual nights out!

The soles of mine are starting to yellow a bit more which is unfortunate, especially when they are in otherwise good condition
