Tony's Chocolonely

Tony’s Chocolonely earns strong reviews for rich, creamy chocolate, inventive flavors like Milk Caramel Sea Salt, Dark Almond Sea Salt, and Dark Milk Pretzel Toffee, plus mission-driven, fair-trade sourcing. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some bars taste overly sweet or bland to dark‑chocolate loyalists, the thick, uneven pieces are hard to break and share, and concerns appear about heavy metals in certain dark varieties and salt intensity in caramel bars.

Tony’s Chocoloney does not satisfy my chocolate craving. It is ok but nothing to write home about. It does not have the depth of flavor of high grade chocolate.
After originally moving into the Netherlands in 2015, I missed Tony's so much moving back to the US. Now I am delighted to know I can get it anywhere. Obsessed with their mission, their vibe and even how they break up their chocolate, I love them and all of their flavors.

So damn good, a friend sent me this as a gift and I was hooked.
Super creamy, and the bars are huge! The sea salt caramel one is great. Delicious chocolate bar, and great mission.

Tony’s chocolate bars are always high quality and more affordable than other high-end brands. The innovative “scoring” of the bars allows you to easily break them down for snacking and save more for later. And they’re fun add-ons for gifts. Highly recommend the green one— dark almond sea salt.
One of the best chocolate bars on the market!! I'm a huge chocolate lover and this brand always satisfies a craving.
Really high quality product. Love the seasonal gingerbread flavor especially, but haven't met a Tony's I didn't like.
Super product with really nice packaging which feels premium and like a treat. The quality of the chocolate is brilliant and super thick. As such, it feels like a really nice treat, and much nicer than offer thinner chocolate bars. Well worth it for the price!
Tony's Chocolonely merges a love for yummy chocolate with a sincere commitment to creating positive change in the world. Its remarkable taste, smooth texture, and ethical principles make it a clear favorite for me. My absolute favorite is the Dark Almond Sea Salt. If you haven't experienced it yet, do yourself a favor and treat your taste buds to a bar – you won't regret it!
Love the brand and mission, not so much the candy. I prefer dark chocolate or at least a hershey bar.
So delicious and I love giving these as part of a gift! They are a fun addition that everyone loves!
My favourite treat chocolate, the original will always be my go to but they do so many amazing flavours. Bit pricey but totally worth it for every now and then
It was okay its not like any other chocolate I have had its not for me
This is literally my favorite chocolate! It’s available at Whole Foods, World Market and Sprouts! I like ever flavor as well. It’s my go to road trip snack. I like the ingredients and how the chocolate is broken off differently than other chocolate bars. It’s just a fun better alternative chocolate snack. Try it and you won’t regret it.

First of all the branding and packaging of this brand carrys it further than the chocolate itself does. That's not necessary a bad thing. The brand is the experience. You're buying an experience with this chocolate. It's meant to be quirky, to give you that willy wonker feel. The mission statement to disrupt the unfair supply chain of chocolate is a strong moral statement to hang it's hat on. The uneven split of the chocolate pieces is a clever feature to help draw attention to the mission statement. However I don't feel the packaging does enough to show how the brand is tackling this. I know not everything can fit onto the packaging but the further the consumer travels to find the information the more attention drops. The other difficulty is the price point. Chocolate is a competitive market and I feel that consumers shouldnt have to pay more to choose ethically sourced chocolate. It should be a given that means the consumer with a nice feeling afterwards when they see how their purchase helps contribute. In terms of flavour, it is rich high quality chocolate. Really good quantity too, potentially to its own price point downfall. Smaller bars may go a long way in the cost of living crisis. Shrinflation doesn't have to be a bad thing if the price point comes down.
I love the companies ethics as much of the cacao trade is involved in practices that are damaging the eco-systems and/or people's quality of life where they are sourced. The salted caramel flavor is my absolute favorite! It's so good that I try to only buy it on special occasions because I am completely serious when I tell you I can finish the whole thing myself! ha 10/10, smooth, silky and delicious chocolate. Would absolutely recommend for both their tastiness and social good.

Has been a staple in The Netherlands and I've been a fan ever since I've discovered it. Tried a lot of flavours but the one with salted caramel is my go to (orange packaging). If I were to say a downside (really minor) it's that the 'seal' chunk in the bar itself can be quite hard/ big to bite through.
Tony's Chocoloney is fantastic! You have to try the classic milk chocolate bar but also explore the assortment of flavors they have. I initially found the brand in 2019 while traveling in Europe but am so happy to have it easily accessible in the states.
I love Tony's chocolate, not only to eat with but also to bake with. Their dark milk chocolate is the best in chocolate chip cookies. I love their mission and cause too! I recommend all the time to friends!
