Tony's Chocolonely

4.6

Tony’s Chocolonely earns strong reviews for rich, creamy chocolate, inventive flavors like Milk Caramel Sea Salt, Dark Almond Sea Salt, and Dark Milk Pretzel Toffee, plus mission-driven, fair-trade sourcing. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some bars taste overly sweet or bland to dark‑chocolate loyalists, the thick, uneven pieces are hard to break and share, and concerns appear about heavy metals in certain dark varieties and salt intensity in caramel bars.

Favourite chocolate! Love the mission, how it comes to life in the product design, and of course the taste.
Milk chocolate is never my go-to, but my friend made me try Tony's Milk Honey Almond Nougat Chocolate. I was pleasantly surprised as it was so tasty! Excellent company with a great mission that addresses an overwhelming problem in the food industry. I can't wait to try their dark chocolate bars and continue to support them.
Yes, their sea salt almond bar tastes fantastic - but what really made me love it was that in addition to great taste and quality, the distinct shapes that the chocolate bar is designed to be broken into elicit a sense of unexpected playfulness. Loved it.
Decided to give Tony's Chocolonely a go after seeing its mission to follow fair trade practices on a friend's IG. I recognized the bold packaging from the store, but never knew what the deal was. Picked up a bar and was pleasantly surprised. Impressive selection of flavors, CREAMY as chocolate comes, and a value-aligned brand. I'm in.

Wish there was an option made with Stevia or lower sugar contents. I like to enjoy Lilly's after dinner so I don't experience sugar highs / lows in my sleep.
In case you don’t know the story behind this brand, the company was founded by a Dutch journalist who became upset to learn that forced & illegal child labor still exists in the cocoa industry. Who knew? I sure didn’t. Go to the website if you want to learn the full story. It’s very interesting and eye opening. Anyway he decided to make his own brand of fair trade traceable chocolate bars. They were a hit & that’s how the brand came to be. I’ve tried several but my favorite is the dark chocolate almond. It has the dark chocolate flavor that I love without being too sweet. It also has nice sized chunks of almond. Not those itty bitty almost non existent ones that the other bars seem to have. I definitely recommend trying this brand. The chocolate is delicious and you can rest easy knowing that forced labor or child labor went into making it.

Tony’s Chocolonely isn’t just chocolate—it’s a bold, ethical, and irresistibly tasty experience. Known for its commitment to 100% slave-free cocoa, this Dutch brand delivers rich, chunky bars with a purpose.
Tony’s chocolate is a very good. I love. thickness chocolate bar. I enjoyed the chocolate with pretzels and nuts in it. The chocolate had a very smooth taste. It was not bitter at all. It reminded me of a chunky bar that my mom used to eat. I love that these are available now at Walmart besides Whole Foods. Great candy bar to have on hand.
Tastes good, but not more special than any other cheaper regular chocolate bar. But I will say the packaging is eye-catching and colorful and sometimes that's all you're looking for! So not bad, but I don't know if I'd need to buy again
Soooo delicious! I love how tasty this chocolate is! It's very creamy and is way better than other choice brands I've tried before. I love the help that this company also gives to those in need which makes me more willing to buy this product!
Overall, I love the chocolate and the ethos of the brand - my only critique is that the individual pieces can be really hard to break off! Otherwise, flavors are amazing and quality of the product is fantastic.

Tastes pretty good, and I love their values.
Fantastic taste and I love the thick bars. It's easy to find vegan options with this brand too. The only downside is that the bars are hard to break along the "fun" lines they imprint in the bars. The funky-shaped lines are likely meant to be fun, but they make it hard to eat the bar. 10/10 for taste though.
Creamy chocolate! It’s pretty good and doesn’t taste overly sweet or fake. Less waxy and more chocolatey! I love the big bar, but the small bars are fun b on the go. So B rich, I didn’t require much to go with it

Love the many variety of flavors
I had heard via social media and my husband about tony chocolonely all thie time. When I went to amsterdam in January I just HAD to sop by and try it for myself. it realy is worth the hype, especially the store!
I honestly don’t know what people see in Tony’s. Sure, the packaging is charming and catches one’s eye, but the chocolate does not hold up to criticism! I have eaten a few in recent months from variety packs with bite sized individually wrapped chocolates, and every time they seemed dried out, chalky and flavorless. Did not inspire me to purchase a full size bar— seems no better than Hersheys. Sorry Tony 🙃
I love this chocolate! While it's not the cheapest, you can tell the quality of the ingredients used. The variety of flavors is incredible; I love the caramel one! Their responsibility program also makes it a beloved brand.
Tony’s is absolutely worth the $! The colorful design and rich flavor is what I imagine Willy Wonka would actually sell. Good for just biting into or adding to a dessert, their flavors are classic and rich and so yummy.
It tastes like any other chocolate to me but that’s just my opinion! I will say the packaging is different than any other chocolate bar and the amount of times I’ve seen people on social media create sweets with this is amazing!
