  • Flattering silhouettes and dresses
  • Stylish, feminine designs
  • Innovative digital fitting rooms
  • Well-regarded, soft denim
  • Inconsistent sizing across styles
  • Thin, unlined dress fabrics
  • Shrinking and pilling issues
  • Fit favors tall, slim bodies

The Reformation wins praise in reviews for flattering, event-ready dresses, chic silhouettes, and a standout tech-enabled in‑store fitting experience, yet the brand draws sustained criticism for inconsistent sizing, thin or unlined fabrics, and quality that often fails to match its reputation. Reviews describe great jeans and timeless styles alongside complaints of shrinking, pilling, and poor construction, plus fit skewed toward tall/slim bodies and frequent frustrations with returns and customer service—making it a try‑in‑person, piece‑by‑piece proposition.

  • Very poor customer service, from Monday till now nobody responses, 6 emails was sent to them, no updates on email, no info, no dates specified, I don't know where is my order, and the amount of the purchase was very big. So I have not received the clothes yet, but with such an attitude to the clients I suppose the items will be disgusting as their services. 2 out of 5 only because I cant say nothing fairly about the items.

  • yes for me! own multiple pairs of their jeans and they worked great for my body shape. some pieces they release are "meh", especially for the price, but essentials & staple pieces are worth it.

  • Prepare to be utterly disappointed and infuriated by Reformation's appalling customer service. This brand has proven to be a master at evading responsibility and completely disregarding customer concerns. Despite spending my hard-earned money on their clothes, I was met with an unresponsive and unhelpful attitude. Countless garments shrunk, even after following their care instructions diligently. Instead of addressing the issue, Reformation conveniently shifted the blame onto the dry cleaner, showing zero accountability. Their refusal to even get on a call to discuss the matter demonstrates a blatant disregard for their customers' satisfaction. Save yourself the headache and steer clear of Reformation – a brand that prioritizes making excuses over providing any form of assistance or accountability.

  • Reformation has such cute dresses, I think they're really sustainable too. I bought a dress with spaghetti straps, they dug in quite a bit. maybe it was just the dress I got, but need to save up before I buy again. But think they're a great brand overall!

  • I found it interesting that there was no way to review their items on their website. I bought a pair of $485 boots from them. When you clicked into item descriptions it gave waist, bust, hips sizes, etc… and I needed calf circumference. The boots themselves were beautiful. I had to stretch the calves some (and I am average to small sized). The paint comes off the bottom of the shoe as you walk and a different kind of material appears. I also had to glue a seam together after it busted open. I know that sounds awful but the boot is darn beautiful and fits wonderful. It just wasn’t quite as I expected but the leather and shape is very high quality but they could do a better job describing the fit.

  • Ordered something during their sale, got a charge on my card, an order number, and a confirmation email. Two weeks after and with no shipping info, I tried to find my order on their website but I couldn’t. I texted their service line and they told me the payment had failed on my end (but I still had a charge and had already paid it off at that point) so I didn’t actually have an order and wouldn’t be receiving anything (needed the item soon at this point for an event). I asked if they would be issuing a refund on my payment then and I got a “sure”. Honestly if I didn’t investigate the way I did I think they might have kept my money. The lady I spoke to was really nice but overall wouldn’t use their website to make purchases. It’s a mixed bag on if you’ll even receive the item and have to investigate for your money back but just not worth it for comparable products elsewhere.

  • I ordered the Valencia dress for my wedding and it was nothing like the listing. I wanted to leave this review on their website to help other brides, but there doesn't seem to be a review function. The dress was delayed 3 times, over the course of 3 months, and when it finally came it was transparent, flimsy, and unstructured. Online it looks like a fairly structured dress, but it was so light that it showed up in an envelope. Definitely not worth the price tag or the wait. If you're shopping for a wedding, I would suggest having a backup option while you wait 3 months for your Reformation dress to arrive.

  • They have the worst customer service. I ordered a dress during the Black Friday sale that got lost somewhere on its way to me in shipping. They canceled my order and refunded me but I wanted to reorder the dress for what I paid for it. They will not honor the sale price so I would have to order it at full price if I wanted the dress. I have no problem paying for what I want but I do have a problem making me pay full price for something when it was not my fault I never received the item at the discount I ordered it at. All in all I would not recommend investing in a company that does not invest in its customers.

  • Quality is soo bad compare to price. And they don’t care about customers. Does not look expensive. After wash, looks really bad.

  • I was shopping on the website and was impressed so i added a bunch of jeans and tops to my cart, but then when I started reading the descriptions it kept mentioning how the jeans were "slimming". They only stock sizes up to women's medium (31 waist jeans, size 12 in tops and dresses) so it seem that whoever writes their copy thinks a size 12 needs help looking "slim." It really grossed me out and don't really want to shop somewhere that excludes so many women (68% of the population are a size 14 and above.) I know this isn't uncommon in the fashion industry but I think I'm only going to shop at inclusive places from now on and certainly avoid any brand that uses the word "slimming", we're done with that BS thanks. The clothes are cute but the vibe seems bad and the lack of inclusion counteracts their "sustainability" cred.

  • I recently ordered 4 pairs of jeans to see which style and size would suit me best. I kept 1 pair and sent the other 3 back. All 4 were of superior quality - I love the Tencel / Cotton mix, it makes the fabric very soft yet still very strong. Now that I know which style suits me, I am going to order more in different colors. However, I have read so many complaints about the return process, and not getting refunds, that I am going to wait until I get my refund back before ordering any more.

It seems people either love or hate this company based on experience. I hear some people say the quality is superb, and others say it’s sub par. I have heard horrible customer support stories. My experience so far has been very positive. Customer support went above and beyond to help me find the right sizing. I don’t understand how the same company can have such opposing reviews. There are no reviews on their site. Maybe that should change…

  • The Reformation offer a sustainable option to buying everyday wear and event dressing. Known for their evening dresses the brand offer a selection of styles, patterns and sizes to fit every taste whilst retaining a minimal and sophisticated design. I shop here regularly after finding the clothing to be long-lasting, comfortable and flattering.

The price of clothing at The Reformation are on the higher end of the scale. I started buying The Reformation second hand recently in order to purchase the items at a lower price. Alternatively, they put on a sale twice a year where the items are reduced by fifty-percent.

  • I was always so excited when able to splurge $300 on a pair rip off Levi’s. Reformation claimed to care about the planet and people, so it felt worth it. I’ve purchased from them a couple times and was always SO excited. Each time, I’ve been let down. Their sizing is all over the place, they are obviously very overpriced, the owner has not always been the most impressive person (from what I’ve read), and they don’t seem to actually care much about their customers, which is a major deal for me. As a business owner, I know my customers are everything. I deeply care about my products making people happy. I can really tell when a business is only in the business of making money.

    Thoughtfulness with their policies

  • This company does not care about there customers one single bit. They only care about cool people wearing their clothes. Ordered something from the sale for days prior and then was informed that it was no longer available. They did nothing to improve their quality of service and just said sorry. Relying on the outfit for an occasion and when contacted customer service they acted like I was bothering them.

  • I think the brand has definitely changed over the past few years and thats great, but several years ago they were extremely elite and body shamed me especially in store.

I hope to see more plus size clothing and more options

  • Cute clothing but not worth the price! Wait around for sales!!

  • The quality has gone down so much in the past couple of years

    Improve design & quality

  • The Reformation has an incredible selection of timeless and classic pieces. Their dresses are gorgeous and beautifully made, and I have so many of their basics that will never go out of style. I appreciate their focus on sustainability.

It’d be nice if they didn’t use plastic bags for their online orders considering how focused on sustainability they are. Also, their prices are just a little bit too high for the quality in my opinion.

  • Super expensive clothes decent quality. Its hard to afford a dress that on average is in the $200-300 range. The designs are absolutely amazing but the price and quality doesn't justify.

I would buy if I made insane amount of money.
