The Reformation wins praise in reviews for flattering, event-ready dresses, chic silhouettes, and a standout tech-enabled in‑store fitting experience, yet the brand draws sustained criticism for inconsistent sizing, thin or unlined fabrics, and quality that often fails to match its reputation. Reviews describe great jeans and timeless styles alongside complaints of shrinking, pilling, and poor construction, plus fit skewed toward tall/slim bodies and frequent frustrations with returns and customer service—making it a try‑in‑person, piece‑by‑piece proposition.

My favorite clothing brand ever. Every time I go in the store, I end up finding too many cute things. This is my go-to shop whenever I need to find something for an event. The quality is great for how much they cost, in my opinion.
Reformation is a great option for classic and timeless styles, however they come at a price. I think they have increased the cost of items quite a bit over the last few years and it seems out of the question for most to spend $300+ on a dress or $200+ on a shirt. If you do have the budget, ref does have some great pieces.
Love the brands mission as well as their styles and quality! Nothing not to love
I have quite a few pieces from The Reformation and they have held up over the years, however, I do find that with the sizing can be difficult if you have any curves. Typically either the bust or booty areas will be too tight when the waist fits or too loose in the waist when the bust/booty areas fit better. I think that's a pretty common issue for clothing companies when you are above a size 6 which is unfortunate. I know that they extended their size offerings but I have gotten a few dresses and skirts altered after purchasing which makes their already expensive clothes even more expensive.
Overpriced. I really hate the hard paper packaging. I actually cut my finger opening. They also do not have good customer service.
I own and have tried on several pieces from Reformation. I love that they are an eco-conscious company and most of their like has classic silhouettes, fits, and prints that you can wear for years and transition throughout the seasons. They also offer a buy online, return in store option so you do not have to wait as long to get your money back if you end up unsatisfied with what you purchased.

Not all fits are flattering depending on the material used.

I didn't want to like this brand - but now I own many clothing items AND shoes. It just fits well. Quality could be a little higher, but it does hold up pretty well. Will continue to purchase from them, especially during sales.

Cute clothes but the mini dresses are not for tall people, AT ALL. It'd be nice if they would make some mini dresses that are a little longer. I am 5'10". I've never tried on a dress that was this short and entirely un-wearable for me. They don't even go 1 inch past my butt. The dresses are so cute. I'm missing out on wearing them!

LOVE everything from this brand.

so reformation's sustainability policy does pretty much scream "IT'S CARBON FRIENDLIER TO BE SKINNY!! DRINK FROM A METAL STRAW AND SAVE THE TURTLES." there have been a couple items that have really called to me, namely a 2018-esque puffed sleeve blouse that i got so i can cosplay like it's 2018 and their iteration of the hill house nap dress (cotton smocked floral dress). shhhh the knockoffs, like those for the popular juliette dress aren't significantly worse, quality-wise. the thing that makes me anxious is the fact that their viscose and viscose-blend products are DRY CLEAN ONLY. you are not even supposed to ATTEMPT to hand wash, and the dry cleaners can end up burning your clothes. i'm just going to pray i am never stuck in a spaghetti eating situation with my white viscose blouse. steaming has worked to keep the garment fresh for now. https://www.reddit.com/r/Reformationclothing/comments/whhnq0/viscose_do_not_hand_wash_and_be_very_picky_at_the/
Their styles are unique, fashion-forward, and stylish. However, the quality is lacking. Everything feels extremely thin for the high prices.

Use better quality fabrics or lower pricing.
Great athleisure and even better dresses. Everything I've bought from them is a favorite. Their fabrics feel soft, and the fit is usually on point for me. They do favor form fitting silhouettes - so be wary if that's not your thing.

There's a huge range of price points, from $28 to $395. The discrepancy can be off-putting, especially on some of the higher priced items.
I discovered Reformation in 2017/2018 and was compelled by the company's mission to create high-quality, beautiful clothing that was 100% sustainable. I still love the brand but I feel that a couple of years ago it had more unique pieces and there was more thought put into the design than nowadays where it is focused on scaling and mass production.

The prices are quite high and I am less compelled to shop here for this reason.
Way over-priced zara quality like stuff

They have nice designs but the quality is very bad. My dresses shrunk and customer support never did anything. I don't buy there anymore
for the price, their clothes should be more high quality

lovely prints and dress styles but i just can't justify the price points considering the fabrics they use and the quality of their clothes. def shop in person if you're looking to buy from reformation. it's better to feel the fabric and examine the seams before spending all that money! brick and mortar will definitely help this brand drive sales into the future bc the in-store experience is phenomenal.
This brand always comes out with such cute clothes. Though it's pricer than what I typically go for for day to day clothes, I think if you're looking to invest in a dress for an event or something, they are definitely worth it!
Although I do think some pieces are a little too expensive, I've always felt that you get what you pay for with Reformation. Incredible quality, true to size, and I get compliments every time I wear something.

Tanks / Crop tops could have lower pricing. They're 1/4 of the fabric of the dresses and almost the same $.
Love the in-store shopping experience, because for their pieces you really have to try on to figure out the size & fit.
Super cute + on trend clothes.

The clothes are very cute, but for some of the items I’ve gotten the quality doesn’t seem like it matches with the high price.
Can we acknowledge how amazing Ref's emails are? Please sign up for them, if you aren't subscribed already. They're truly worth the inbox real estate. Everything I've bought has been lovely, well made, and a pleasure to wear. Sometimes sizing is tricky. But I'm a tricky-sized person (petite w/ a booty).

I know it's not their style, but a few more affordable options would go a long way. Sample sale, maybe?
