The Ordinary earns strong reviews for being effective and ingredient-focused: many users report clearer, smoother, more hydrated skin from staples like Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, and the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. Reviews also flag weaknesses: some formulas feel sticky or pill, certain actives (retinoids, vitamin C, high-percentage acids) can irritate or be too harsh, results can be hit-or-miss by product or skin type, and the range can be confusing without research.

I use the hyaluronic acid from this brand and love it. Such good quality and so affordable!
I think The Ordinary is a wonderful case of getting more than you paid for. They really are great quality for the price point, and the variety they offer. Are there better formulations? Of course, but be prepared to pay 4-10x as much. Some of my favorites are the copper peptides, hyaluronic acid, and glycolic acid (great for a body exfoliant!).

Nothing is better then this skin care line, life changing knowing what products you are actually putting on your skin!
I am obsessed with the Ordinary glycolic acid. It helps my skin stay smooth and exfoliated. After working in dermatology for two years - this had become a staple for my skin care routine.
I didn't believe the hype but I should have. The way these products CLEARED my skin was amazing. I religiously use the niacinamide 10% and Zinc 1% have repurchased countless times!
I love this brand! They have so many great products that actually work like the Niacinamide. Hyaluronic Acid, Glycolic Toner....there are too many to name!

Only thing to really boast is their price point - otherwise not a company with great moral values and lacking in quality control. I understand folks who stick to this for the price point, but for those willing to pay for a better product and a better company I highly recommend you do.
Such great staples
Love this brand. My skin is sensitive and I'm prone to acne/breakouts with certain lotions. The Ordinary is a great brand that keeps the health of my skin in mind as it moisturizes.
I use a few of the serums and find them very effective on my skin. I like the simple and statement product branding and find the website great for personalisation and improving your skincare routine. I wish the products were available in larger sizes too as it sometimes feels like a waste of packaging to keep buying products often when they run out
Great products. Clean ingredients. Clean packaging and the most fairly priced beauty products you will find.
Great price point for high quality products. I love the toner!!!

I kept trying different products from the Ordinary because of the price and ingredients, but the formulations never seemed to work and irritated my skin.
It is a brand that the relationship between the quality of the products and their price is acceptable. I have tried the niacinamide serum and the retinol serum and they work well, but I don't consider them extraordinary. I would recommend them to people who are starting out in the world of skincare and don't really know where to start.
LOVE this brand - Incredibly reasonbly priced, simple skincare solution. The Hylauroinic acid is my favorite base layer on my skin - light and spreads/absorbs easily, so you can layer other mositurizers/serusms/makeup on top. I put this on my favce twice a day immediately after washing, and it leaves the skin feeling plump and refreshed Creamide hydrating night treatment keeps my skin smooth, even and moisturized at night. Feels like a protective barrier, but need to make sure to wash it off in the am (you can feel it washing off). It seems to hep me with removing discoloation from acne/sun, keeping wrinkles at bay and lessening the appearance of white/blackheads. Recently tried the caffeine eye cream, as my dermatologiest was suggesting something of a similar size that cost about 10x. While I dont beleive there is any miracle product that removes under eye circles, it worked about as well as the overpriced sample I recived to lessen the puffy and dark circles to a more tolerable appearace (as in, looks like I only missed one night of sleep, not a fortnight)
Most of the products have been good, although not sure if I can see the results very well. Good price.
The Ordinary has really stepped it up in recent years. I just repurchased a bunch of their products to incorporate into my daily skincare routine and they've made big improvements in helping the consumer understand the what the different ingredients do/are good for. I currently use the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Oil Control Serum, Azelaic Acid 10% Suspension Brightening Cream, and the 100% Plant-Derived Squalane. The products are affordable, easy to access and use, and super effective.
I was one of their first customers so I’ve tried most of their products over the years. I do love the idea of accessible skincare, but you end up buying so many formulas that add up to like buying 1 amazing serum or product. I think some of The Ordinary’s products are great for the price point and is a gateway brand for the youths and skincare newbies, but I would rather spend a little more and buy products with high efficacy. I’ve moved on from The Ordinary.

This brand is wonderfully priced in the skincare niche. I think before trying any product do your research on what it's uses are. I was intrigued enough into trying the Salicylic Acid 2% Solution as a topical treatment to skin. texture, however the product gave me severe allergic reactions after every use. As someone who has no known allergies to any medications, foods, anything, I'm saddened this product personally had such a negative effect.
Super budget friendly, but it does require a bit of research beforehand to figure out which products you need. I've found that some products work better than others, but with the low price point I don't mind a bit of trial and error.
