    Notorious brand, I wouldn't want to be associated with their massive cultural appropriation blunder by ever being caught playing with one of their sets. But that aside, there's no need to buy a $400 mahjong set from this brand; if you want to play mahjong you can get a $80 set that's perfectly pretty and playable (two things The Mahjong Line has claimed traditional sets are not). https://www.vice.com/en/article/g5bwkb/these-mahjong-sets-for-rich-white-people-are-a-tacky-monument-to-racism

    One of the most racially insensitive and stupid brands to exist — two white women with no ties to any AAPI community (let alone Chinese) created a line of mahjong tiles because they find real mahjong tiles too foreign. Give me a break.

    This is a company by 2 white women trying to make a centuries old game "pretty". It seems disingenuous and white washing.
