Tate’s Bake Shop earns glowing reviews for thin, crisp, buttery cookies—especially the classic and gluten-free chocolate chip—which many call the best store-bought option, close to homemade. Reviews also flag clear drawbacks: the cookies are very crunchy (divisive for chewy-cookie fans), sometimes too sweet or oily, crumbly, go stale quickly in the bag, and feel sparse per package.

Ok, so I'm a huge cookie fan and my mom tops me in this respect. For a while, she kept these hidden because she didn't want me anywhere near them. She was right to do so, these are the bomb.com. Like they are perfectly crisp to the crunch but not burnt and have such a solid flavor. I would definitely recommend buying them on sale since they are a bit on the expensive side. But they're also available at Costco in bigger packs (yet still wrapped in groups of 5 cookies) so they stay fresh.
The undefeated champ of bagged cookies in my opinion. Light enough for me to convince myself that eating a whole bag is fine, and satisfying enough they taste homemade.
Big fan of their Oatmeal Raisin cookies, and grab them on my way out of the grocery store all the time! They aren't too high in calorie count and are conveniently available in most f&b retail outlets (CVS, Morton Williams, Gristedes, Walgreens etc.)

I've only had Tate's Gluten Free line as I'm Celiac, but my partner has have the regular cookies and we both make weekly grabs at the Grocery store of a few bags each to get us through the week. They are light, crispy, and are one of our favorites. One of these days, we'd like to visit some friends of ours in Southampton, NY as we live just across the Sound from there in CT! Love supporting our local businesses, as well!
These are my favorite cookies! They're crisp and buttery and rich with high quality ingredients. I'm someone who watches what I eat and tries to eat healthful, whole foods, but when I want a treat I want that treat to COUNT. My go to is always Tate's chocolate chip cookies, but I've never had a variation from their shop that I didn't absolutely love. And their vegan and gluten free options make hosting a snap!
Crunchy, delicious, addictive. I love the ginger cookies, it has large chunks of ginger in it. Only criticism is that the cookies are pretty unhealthy in terms of fat content, wish I could have more than 2 and not exceed my daily value.

absolutely LOVE this brand. very unique and delicious. expensive but so worth it. luxury cookies
I am not usually a crunchy cookie fan, I love a doughy soft cookie. Tate's absolutely changed my world. I love their cookies. I have tried the vegan and gluten-free ones as well, and I am never disappointed! They are definitely a big step up from other traditional cookies you would find at a grocery store. They are buttery, and the perfect amount of salty and sweet. The quality of chocolate chips is incredible. I don't know how they do it, but I hope they never stop!
I specifically LOVE their gluten free chocolate chip cookies. I’m not gluten free but my mom is and I happened to try those the first time. If you’re a crispy cookie girlie like me you will LOVE these!!! The gluten free taste no different than the normal.
These cookies are great if you like a thin, light, and crunchy cookie. If you are the type who likes the soft thick cookies, you'll have to look elsewhere.

Craving a perfect thin crunchy cookie? Tate's is the answer. They make a mean chocolate chip, will have to try out their other options
These are so good! I tried the gluten free one and the original chocolate chip! The original tastes nice and brown buttery! The gluten free ones are so similar!!!!

I wouldn't say this hits the spot of a traditional chocolate chip cookie for me, but it's delicious in it's own way. Still a great treat!
These little cookies are absolutely delicious. They are on the crunchy side so some people may not be into that. All of their flavors are really tasty and I personally like that crisp bite. While I feel they are high quality they also seem to be a bit expensive because there's not very many cookies in the bag.

My friend has a very happy after dinner addiction to these cookies. He loves the crisp and the taste.
Tate's is a Hamptons/NY classic. Though I generally like thicker, chewier cookies, the crisp and thin Tate's chocolate chip cookies have a special place in my heart. It also seems like they use high quality ingredients when you taste them (chocolate in particular) If thin, crisp, chocolate chip cookies sound good to you, look no further. If you need a thick, chewy cookie, Tate's are not for you.
My favorite store-bought cookies. They're light and crispy and just so rich in flavor. Also, the gluten-free option tastes almost the same.
Crunchy and delicious. These are my guilty pleasure. I have some in my kitchen right now. I’d buy them over and over again, and introduce them to everyone I know! Try the walnut chocolate chip ones. You won’t regret it!
Normally I’m a soft cookie kind of gal but these surprised me. They are thin and crisp and delicious! I love the basic chocolate chip cookies.
I'm more of a fresh baked cookie person. However! These are good cookies. I appreciate the texture and type of chocolate they use. I just wish they didn't disappear so quickly😅 especially because of the price
