SURREAL cereal, while appreciated for its protein content and vegan-friendly nature, is criticized for its excessive use of sweeteners, resulting in an overly sweet, artificial taste. Some customers also complain about the product's high price and small package size, alongside a lack of natural ingredients. Despite this, the brand's unique marketing and focus on sugar-free and vegan qualities have been positively noted.

  • Surreal is one of the most well-marketed products on the market. I ordered 8 boxes in 5 different flavors because I was really excited to try them. For the first 5 seconds, it actually tasted pretty good, but then an explosion of over-the-top sweetness hit me, followed by a brutal aftertaste. I couldn't finish any of the packs and ended up labeling it "inedible". Curios to see if my experience was unique, I shared the cereal with 7 colleagues at work, and none of them were able to finish even a small portion, which confirmed that the issue wasn't just my personal taste. Honestly, I could only imagine eating this cereal in a war where you are desperate and any source of calories would work.

  • I was really excited to try Surreal cereal, especially with its promise of high protein, low carb, and zero sugar, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. The flavors, which are meant to mimic childhood favorites, just didn’t hit the mark for me. The texture was also off—kind of too dense and dry for a cereal. I understand the focus on health, but the taste and mouthfeel just weren’t enjoyable, and I couldn’t even finish the box. It’s a great concept, but for me, it didn’t live up to the hype. Wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for something that satisfies your cravings.

  • Loved this cereal and the mission - was pleasantly surprised by the taste and the crunch, given it uses a completely different set of ingredients to normal cereals. I got so excited that I went around the house comparing the protein content of one serving to other meals: it’s the same as two eggs, 3/4 tin of beans, 375g of my favourite Greek yoghurt. Amazing!

    Feedback

The price point is very high and feels justified based on the portion size written on the box, but when you open it and measure out 30g, it does feel small. On the product itself, the texture and crunch is great, both plain and with milk. There is an ever so slight after taste though.

  • Cereal tastes decent for a 'health' cereal. And the top of the box is already perforated, so you don't need to do any ripping and inevitably break the closure. It's the small things.

    Feedback

Size of bag is supposedly "7 servings." Maybe if you're a small child. Price is high. I know, better quality ingredients and all. But then I find oats and PB work just fine.
