Stitchfix reviews show the service works for many users as a convenient, occasionally inspired personal-styling service: reviewers praise easy returns, helpful stylists, and wardrobe-building wins but also report inconsistent fit, uneven styling, and variable quality. Buyers who want curated basics and convenience find it useful; picky shoppers face hit-or-miss selections and durability concerns.

Love the concept of an online personal styling service, especially for people who don't really like to spend time shopping or want to try new styles. I enjoyed the surprise element of receiving clothes and getting to try them out!

Personally, I'm pretty particular about my clothes. In the three times I tried Stitchfix out, I hadn't found a piece I loved enough to want to keep. Another pain point was the relatively high price of each of the pieces compared to deals you could find online - there didn't seem to be any discounts on Stitchfix clothes.
When I first started my subscription, I had ( I think) a really human stylist. I enjoyed getting new items to try on and for the first few months I was getting things that I really like and were different. After a few months, everything that I was sent looked like something I had been sent before. Pretty sure a bot was choosing my clothes with an algorithm. I used this subscription for myself and my 5 year old. I no longer have the subscription for myself but still get one for my child every 2 or 3 months since she is growing so quickly.

Using real humans as stylists and providing people with styles that are different from what they previously were sent.

I use it for both of my children and I really like how they ask what kind of quality you're looking for and the type of budget as well and the clothes I have received for them are great quality and I really like the amount of pieces that are received and I do think the price is fair what you get . In the past I have used it for myself and I didn't really like the style of clothing that was picked out for me, but I do think it is great for kids and my oldest son really looks forward to opening the box whenever it arrives

Stitch Fix does a great job of paying attention to your overall clothing design preferences and has sent me some of my most favorite clothing pieces! Clothing are well made and reasonably priced.

Typically cheap Chinese crap. Been using for over a year, bimonthly and monthly fixes, often had to return for damaged clothes or shoes coming apart, often you don’t wear that item right away and months later when you wear it, you realize the seams are coming apart, or the clothes fade Few pairs of pants that I’ve had have come apart or had damage. Truly is cheap clothes and very overpriced, they price their clothing 300% over what it actually costs.

I’m a long-time customer and I don’t see myself stopping. They accommodate my requests. They make it incredibly easy to checkout and return clothes. The freestyle function is easy to use and has great prices and shipping options. Some people here complain about the efficacy of the service, but I think you get out what you put in. If you take the time to write what your needs are and give dynamics feedback when you check out, the service improves continually. I always take the time to write something for the stylist so he or she knows what I think. The shuffle game is also a good way to get the clothing fitting your style. I’ve been doing it for years and I just recently got introduced to my favorite jean brand through StitchFix. I consistently get compliments on my clothing and I am amazed at how little I’ve thought about my closet. If you truly want to automate the bulk of your wardrobe, StichFix is a great way to build out a closet quickly and then maintain with consistent updates. I don’t buy all my clothes from StitchFix, but I definitely buy most of them from stitch fix.

There have been some instances where I was a little irked at getting a piece of clothing that looks to similar to something else I’ve gotten. On the other hand, I like having slight variations on something that works. At the end of the day you don’t have to buy any of the clothes they send. It sucks when you want 4/5 pieces but you kind of need to keep the last one to get the 25% discount. However, the prices are generally fair so I’m not often mad about how much I spent. I also think they could invest in a larger event or effort to make some big leaps in understanding your style. If they had an occasional 20 min sit down with a stylist or something that made you feel like they were truly personal, it would go a long way.

This was a fun one-time experience for me, but I realized I am very picky with fashion and how things fit so StitchFix isn't for me. I would still recommend trying it for the first time for fun! It's cool to see what is selected for you, but ultimately, I only kept one thing after receiving two boxes.
