I walk a lot in the city, and since the onset of Autumn, started wearing waterproofed leather ankle boots. Unfortunately my (high) arches started aching. Last week they moved from achy to excruciating: stabbing pains in instep. Did some research and discovered that it was likely due to inflexible and rigid soles that transmit most of the impact from hard surfaces into the foot. Who knew? On to local sport shop where I found these: I can’t believe how much immediate relief I experienced. They have very flexible soles and excellent cushioning. My feet were very, very happy.
