Serum Body Wash

  • I was hoping to fall in love with Saltair but have mixed feelings after purchasing several products. The body washes aren’t concentrated enough to break through deodorant but may be good for people with sensitive skin. The smells aren’t very strong either. Seascape and Black Tide are downright weak and Santal Bloom is better but could still be stronger. I also purchased the In-Shower Hair Gloss and Nourishing Body Oil, luckily in Santal Bloom and like those enough to give them a much higher review if I was reviewing them individually versus reviewing the brand. Unfortunately, the scent of the hair gloss is lost once I use a thermal protectant because they don’t make one and the same scent. They do have one in Ocean Orange, however, I’m not feeling like it’s a good idea to risk buying another scent. Hopefully I’ll find a sample somewhere because I’d otherwise like to give it a try. The body oil is a nice, moisturizing finish with a nice layering smell. I wish it was in a plastic container, rather than glass, so I could use it in the shower. I like how it goes on when the skin is damp more than when it’s completely dry, however, overall I still like it and it’s one of their better products. *I participated in a promotion to receive a reward (percentage back) after testing and reviewing Saltair.

  • I would give this brand 5 stars if I didn't have to have it shipped to me, but since I live in Hawaii, I had it shipped and that's where they lose the star--although shipping is GREAT! It's fast and very communicative! My only issue with this product is that some of the bottles didn't make it without leaking, and since the package is only packed down using brown paper, I had a sticky, goopy box... but at least it smelled good! So be aware, if you are ordering to a far away location, contents may arrive a little leaky. Anyway, aside from the mishap, I love Saltair. I find that the body wash smells lovely, but the scent also stays. Not like you're going to be bombarded with scent and then it leaves as soon as you leave the shower. I also appreciate the pump when the bottle gets down to about 10% left. Then it's a little hard to get out the remainder, but hey, maybe it makes showering more fun. The suds facts is also great because it's not excessive, but while I know suds are not necessary, I like to have them. Between the Santal and Seascape sent I purchased, I have enjoyed both tremendously. I purchased the Cleanse and Hydrate bundle with the Santal scent and it has really made my skin feel so nice and clean. I use the hyaluronic acid to help with moisture, mostly after travel, and it feels just really nice after that post flight shower. It dries quickly, but I will say that I do often do a second layer of moisturizer if I am especially dry. All in all, I really enjoy Saltair. I used to buy it from a big box store, but since I no longer support said store, I will continue to purchase from Saltair directly... hoping they address the issue of the product leaking during shipping.

  • This is a nice brand, but not necessarily one to write home about. It seems like a basic line that’s slightly elevated. The body wash smells nice and seems to work, and the creams are hydrating and also smell nice. The retinol lotion is not irritating, and o like the HA serum because it’s light but hydrating enough to use alone with out additional moisturizer. I don’t know that I would pay full price for this, but definitely would repurchase during a sale!

  • I've been trying out the products I got for about a week now and have some mixed feelings about everything I bought. Scent wise: I had seen a lot of hype around the seascape scent, but when I received it, I felt like the scent wasn't anything special and it just smells like soap to me. I honestly don't really smell a difference between black tide and seascape. Salt water vanilla however is lovely! I don't usually buy a gourmand or heavy vanilla scent, but I've been trying to lean into to more recently and I really like the way these smell. I think it's the salt water aspect that I like because it makes it not too sweet and feels comforting. The product themselves: Serum deodorant- I love it! I like using it right after I shower in the evening and I feel good the next day for the most part. I've been reapplying before a workout and feel like I don't smell at all afterwards. It is pretty sticky after applying and I don't love the way that feels, but once it's dried down, it feels like nothing. Body wash- I haven't felt too much of a difference with the body washes being more hydrating than other similar brands, so I feel neutral about them. I do like the texture though. Not too gooey. Body butter- I LOVE the body butter! I haven't tried too many body butters, but the texture to me is so unique. It's thick, but bouncy and light. This is the first time I've gotten a body butter and thought it really was like butter. It glides on super smooth and is easy to rub in without a lot of effort. Body oil- This is my first time ever using a body oil so I don't really have anything to compare it to, but I've been really loving it in conjunction with the body butter. I feel like my skin has been so smooth and soft lately. Lip oil balm- This one I was really disappointed with. I got the cacao color and I feel like it sits on my lips like melted chocolate. The formula is a lot thicker than I expected and I don't love how it applies. I love brown lip shades, but this really doesn't blend well into my lips. Maybe it would be better for someone with a darker skin tone? I think I should have dried toasted instead. I would definitely buy the serum deodorant, body butter, and body oil again and skip the rest.
