Reviews mention

  • Elegant, minimalist packaging aesthetic
  • Light, refreshing flavor profiles
  • Notably calming, subtle effect
  • Versatile nonalcoholic cocktail alternative
  • Inconsistent functional effects
  • Faint, sometimes medicinal flavors
  • Occasional bitter aftertaste
  • Soft, low carbonation mouthfeel

Recess earns mixed reviews: the brand delivers light, refreshing flavors, sleek packaging, and for many a subtle calming effect, yet it polarizes on taste intensity and the consistency of functional benefits. Reviews praise Strawberry Rose, Blood Orange, Peach Ginger, Blackberry Chai, and coconut lime, but cite faint or medicinal flavors, occasional aftertaste, low carbonation, and uneven “mood” effects—leaving some to view it as elevated seltzer rather than a reliably functional drink.

  • Love this brand, and the delicious nourishing drinks they provide. Packaging is so cute, flavours are so fun, and it feels good to drink!

  • Nothing exceptional. I've had this product a few times after work-outs and I'm pretty indifferent to it.

  • These totally pack a punch. You definitely feel the cbd! I like the taste, and obviously the packaging is adorable!

  • Look - there isn’t much I can say about this that isn’t too straightforward. I have loved every flavor I have tried. I love the light calm I get from drinking this. My biggest issue is price. It just isn’t accessible and the price point sits higher than better products with a more impactful calmness. I will always drink it if it is free but I really don’t find the price to be attractive enough to purchase direct and it’s REALLY highway robbery in the “wellness grocery” marts.

  • Recess delivers on all of its promises but at a higher price point than I’d usually go for when seeking a casual beverage. The flavor is comparable to other major seltzer brands and I found the cbd dosage to be mildly effective and comfortable. That being said, I don’t think I’d go out of my way to have Recess around the house or in the fridge unless I found it on sale.

  • Recess CBD drink is a real game-changer in the world of wellness beverages. Each sip brings a perfect balance of flavor and relaxation, thanks to its carefully crafted blend of natural ingredients and high-quality CBD. It's not just a drink; it's an experience that helps me unwind and find a moment of calm in my busy day. The taste is refreshing and unique, making it a delightful treat. What I appreciate most is the subtle yet effective way it eases stress without any overwhelming aftereffects. Recess has quickly become a staple in my routine for those times when I need to reset and recharge.

  • I've had these on a subscription for over 18 months. I get the sampler pack every two weeks for a variety of flavors. I've recommended them to friends and family. I typically have one a day and they help me sleep better at night.

  • The drinks are fine, but I didn’t feel any of the benefits they claim :( maybe I would need to drink more to get them?

  • The strawberry rose flavor is delicious! Not as noticeable of an effect as other brands, but still a delicious drink

  • The blood orange is to die for. I instantly feel relaxed after a few sips.

  • Definitely works for calming and relaxing purposes but personally did not like the taste.

  • Fun beverage! I don't necessarily always feel what's being marketed on the drink but they do taste good.

  • Love the packaging, unfortunately all the flavors taste a little bitter to me. And make me feel weird/anxious after drinking. Pretty harmless though.

  • I'm pretty much a sucker for anything with aesthetically pleasing packaging. Unfortunately, I don't feel like Recess delivered much in the flavor category. I found it to be on the bitter and astringent side taste-wise. As for the calming effecting, I didn't really feel much on that front either. I am a fan of adaptogens and wellness-forward beverages in general but find that since it's become a trendy thing alot of the products that come on the market that claim to contain these beneficial ingredients have far too low an amount to really make an impact.

  • I really love the recessed mood beverages and they are some of the only non-alcoholic mood enhancer’s. I will recommend to people wanting some liquid chill! Whether or not, it’s the placebo effect I do feel that I am noticeably calmer after drinking one of these, and will often bring one to my therapy appointments 😅

  • The packaging is gorg and flavors are fun and taste good, but I don’t feel any different after drinking them. For me they are just a more expensive seltzer, but worth trying for yourself.

  • I like the flavor and the packaging (can) feels luxe. Not sure I actually notice the low level of CBD but it certainly doesn’t hurt.

  • I don’t really like it. Tastes chemically floral and doesn’t do anything for me
