quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

I love the idea of the Quip toothbrush subscription where I don't have to remember when to replace my toothbrush head or battery. Quip also looks slick and minimalist, so I was excited to try it. Unfortunately Quip didn't live up to my expectations. I've been using it for about a year now and have had numerous experiences with the vibrations not working or timing out super fast. I also don't feel like it gives me the clean feeling I long for when using an automatic toothbrush. It works OK, but I was hoping it would be more than just a manual toothbrush with some vibration.
Feedback
Improvements to brush head to make it clean harder to reach areas, improvements to product to not have the vibration setting break so often

My boyfriend and I both purchased our brushes a year a half ago. I really wanted to like them but honestly, the brush is garbage. Even when it was working it didn't do that great of a job. A year in the brush would randomly die and turn off. We ended up throwing them away.
Feedback
They aren't as eco-friendly as they claim to be. The brushes are flat out garbage.

I got the rose gold toothbrush because it was cute and I liked the branding. Was it life changing? Nope. Quip also admits that the vibration isn’t for additional cleanliness but it works more like a timer.
Feedback
It’s a fine product if you’re just looking for a cute toothbrush, but personally not worth the continued investment.

I love their floss. Their toothbrushes are great for its cost and the shipping is great.
Feedback
I prefer rechargeable toothbrushes.

I got this on a whim on a trip where I needed a new toothbrush. I had high hopes for this affordable electric toothbrush but was left dissatisfied. The battery didn't last anywhere near 3 months (I replaced it multiple times to make sure it wasn't a bad battery), the movement is so slight as to be ineffective, and the components feel cheap. I tossed it. I still have Quip toothpaste and it seems good!

Overall quality

it’s basically a regular toothbrush that just happens to vibrate. The design is nice and sleek, but the function is nothing special. I ended up switching to a sonicare and I would recommend everyone switch.
Feedback
Stronger vibration and/or rotating brush head would potentially make it worth the money.

Nice unique and modern design. Electric aspect of the toothbrush was on-par or slightly below expectations, not super powerful and honestly did not feel as if I was getting a better teeth cleaning then if I had used a regular tooth brush. Replacing the brush heads can be cumbersome. Tried to cancel my reoccurring subscription for the battery and brush head multiple times but failed indicating UX of website was poor.
Feedback
-Make it easier to replace brush heads. -Make it rechargeable. -Make cancellation of subscription easier.

I was never good at replacing my toothbrush so the subscription was nice. It didn’t make up for the fact the toothbrush itself isn’t made the best and that the price was fairly expensive for a vibrating toothbrush. Canceling is easy but a lot of steps
Feedback
The brush itself. The vibrations don’t clean more like a sonicare or comparable would; it’s just a timer mostly. Also after two or so years the engine of mine puttered out so I had to buy a new one.

Did not work as well as a typical electric toothbrush

Better way to switch out brush head

Been using quip for several years and even upgraded to the Bluetooth brush add on several months ago. Overall, I think it’s a good electric toothbrush. They offer a variety of size/ hardness options for brush heads which I like. I dislike the subscription model though. It’s difficult to cancel or pause and it’s just another thing to update when you move. The constant add ons are also a pain.
Feedback
The app And website UI could definitely be better. I wish they used less packaging in their shipments.

It’s cute and good for travel

Doesn’t work as well as an oral b or sonicare

Overall liked the toothbrush. The bristles are very nice.

I like the timer and the brush is nice.
Feedback
The brush sometimes wears down very fast.

Quip is easy to use. I like the timer feature and the subscription makes changing the heads thoughtless!
Feedback
Under the head does get a little gross and sometimes it is hard to pull off.

I hate not having an electric toothbrush when I travel so this is a decent stand-in for it.
Feedback
I don't feel like it does a great job brushing my teeth and the heads are expensive to replace.

Works great and makes brushing your teeth feel bougie.
Feedback
The case has the awful sticky strip which gets dirty when traveling.

I bought the refillable floss and mouth wash. I was super excited about the floss pick and thought it was a great idea. However, the instrument does not hold the floss tight enough so it gets loose quite easily. The instrument is also very very bulky, which makes it uncomfortable to use. The mouth wash itself was good! The metal reusable container was meh and the the refillable bottles are not in sold in the same stores that I first bought it from. Overall they have good ideas but the execution is lacking
Feedback
Definitely make a thinner floss pick. The one they have now is virtually unusable because of how bulky it is. Make the refillable mouthwash available in more stores

Quip is an affordable option for an electric toothbrush. I enjoy the automatic shipping of toothbrush heads too. I also like that the toothbrush head is compact. I use this as my travel toothbrush when I'm away from home.

More colors

The QUIP visually is very appealing and looks sleek. However it is a little weak and basically functions as a regular toothbrush that just vibrates weakly.
Feedback
The vibrations needs to be stronger.. other wise it’s not doing anything for the teeth. Also a carrying case or cap would be helpful too

It was just ok, it did it’s job but nothing to write home about.
Feedback
Could be a bit stronger and maybe rechargeable instead of batteries.
