Reviews mention

  • Sleek, minimalist design
  • Compact, travel-friendly form
  • Timed, guided brushing pulses
  • Convenient refill subscription
  • Weak cleaning vibration
  • Fragile head connection
  • Hard-to-remove battery parts
  • Bristles wear or feel harsh

quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

  • This product is a lot of marketing and packaging but as far as effectiveness goes, it’s just a vibrating timer. Not worth the money in my opinion

  • The quip toothbrush is aesthetically pleasing and that’s it. Doesn’t clean teeth as well as the oral B electric toothbrushes you can get for $8-10. As someone who previously used a sonicare toothbrush, I was not satisfied with this.

    Feedback

If you want an easy toothbrush that looks cute for travel, this is fine but it doesn’t do much more than a manual toothbrush

  • No comparison to the leading electric toothbrushes. Do yourself a favor and get one of those! It's sleek and it looks nice, but that's all it is, don't sacrifice substance over style in matters of healthcare. Take care of your teeth!

  • Love this toothbrush! Have had it for 3 years now and keep replacing the battery and toothbrush head as needed. Also got the floss which is so nice!

  • Got this for Christmas and love it. It replaced my old one from a notable brand

  • Moving from an Oral B toothbrush to Quip (I was sold on the design) was a disappointing experience. Quip just vibrates whereas an Oral B has a rotating head and provides a much better clean. I ended up using it for a week or so before re-investing in a new Oral B.

  • I was wooed by the sleek lines and simplicity of the Quip, and I will always rue the day I ditched my elderly but still perfectly functional workhorse of a Sonicare for it. I got two, one for me and one for my partner. Hers broke within a month—a little plastic ridge that holds the head on—and they replaced it reluctantly and with a warning that you have to be really careful when you change out the head (we were.) Within a year it happened to the other one. I bought a third Quip (fool me twice) and eventually ended up holding the head on manually each time I brushed my teeth. So happy to finally give up and buy a new Sonicare. These are not lasting products. They are attractive and nice for travel but they are semi-disposable and, btw, send replacement heads and batteries in tons of non recyclable packaging. I wish I’d never bought one. Much less three.

Get a better toothbrush that will last you longer.

  • I bought this toothbrush with all of the additional items that can you buy on subscription. I use it primarily for travel. I have the brushes, mouthwash, breath freshener gum, floss and toothpaste on subscription. The brush subscription comes with fresh batteries for the toothbrush. I prefer a stiffer brush but the brush is really designed perfectly for travel. I am addicted to the gum and floss, but the toothpaste is is just so-so.

    Feedback

If you travel a lot, this toothbrush is perfect for travel. I love the mouthwash, gum and floss (it's very thin). I wouldn't waste money on the toothpaste though.

  • Wasted my money. Quit working after I replaced the battery. And how difficult it is to replace the brush or batteries is ridiculous.

    Feedback

For it to last longer. Highly unsatisfied.

  • I bought one in 2020 because of how sleek it looked and I liked the idea of only hav ego throw away the top part. However purchasing the new brush was such a hassle I never used it after the first one was old. Having to order them online and pay shipping was not worth it for a $5 product. Disappointing you can’t buy them in stores. Also the brush does not actually move, the handle just vibrates so it’s not actually doing anything special like a real electric toothbrush, just making you think it is. I did however enjoy that the vibrating was timed at 2 minutes so you know when to stop.

    Feedback

Sell the brush heads in stores and make it a real electric toothbrush, not just a regular toothbrush with a vibrating handle.

  • This may be a bit biased since I don't like traditional electric toothbrushes but I could not stand using this product. It was expensive for the product which felt very cheap and I don't feel like its high quality nor would last a long time. I used this for a week and never again.

    Feedback

    Improve the quality.

  • Overall it’s just an expensive toothbrush. The bristles where fine not to hard not to soft. And at one point I just stopped using the vibration on the toothbrush. And I maybe used the app once while I had the toothbrush.

    Feedback

Sleek design did make it convenient when traveling. I feel that for the price it should offer more like maybe a moving bristles.

  • Absolutely love the sleek design and feel. Great for traveling as the battery last for a long time and weighs super light.

    Feedback

    MORE FUN COLORS!

  • The toothbrushes feel great for about two weeks, but the heads quickly wear out. Additionally, if you want to skip or pause your order, they do it after you have been charged and there is no grace period. When I finally switched back to my Sonicare, I finally remembered what it felt like to have clean teeth.

    Feedback

Better customer support. Updated brush design.

  • We have had quip brushes in our house for almost 2 years now! We love the slim look, different colors, and the timer. I actually don’t mind brushing my teeth now and I KNOW they’re getting clean with the automatic feature.

    Feedback

I wish the case it came in was more travel friendly.

  • Literally the worst toothbrushes every, and super overpriced. You have to replace the battery pretty often, I used mine for maybe 2 months before the battery went out. They sent an extra battery, but I couldn't get it open to replace the it (even after watching tons of vids)! At the end of the day, just get a cheap $2 toothbrush from the store and it'll probably be better.

    Feedback

The product itself (toothbrush) ran out of battery within the first 2 months and I couldn't get access to replace it. They need to fix this issue with their toothbrushes, and possibly make a rechargeable version.

  • It is a great tooth brush and really saves not only money, but the amount of plastic being thrown away.

    Feedback

One thing that could be improved is the amount of toothpaste that gets stuck in between the brush head and base. I need to clean it daily and it can add time to my mornings.

  • First got this toothbrush as my go-to tooth brush and it was fine, but eventually upgraded to a nicer (and larger) electric toothbrush. However, I do use my Quip as my travel toothbrush and love it. I cant bring my main electric toothbrush when traveling as its too large, so bring this little guy instead and is much better than a standard toothbrush when traveling.

  • I really liked my Quip toothbrush when I first got it — the super sleek look made me feel more like an adult and the subscription made it easier to remember to switch toothbrushes every few months. But not worth it in the long run.

    Feedback

The new replacement heads that I receive do not fit my brush well and fall off easily. Additionally, the toothbrush holder stopped sticking to my mirror almost immediately.

  • Have used quip for five months now and love it! Does the job cleaning and feel like an electric toothbrush is a must to get the best clean feeling.
