  • Weak cleaning vibration

  • Hard-to-remove battery parts
  • Bristles wear or feel harsh

quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

  • Meh, dentist immediately told me that it was fine to use while traveling but a proper brush at home was best.

  • Sleekly designed, transportable, and my dentist was raving about my teeth during my last visit all thanks to my Quip toothbrush. The soft bristles are gentle on my gums and leave me with a fresh smile, plus the brush head and battery are easily replaceable. I also find the packaging useful as I can use it as a stand and quickly pack it up for overnight stays. Highly recommend!

  • Although I love the simplicity of the Quip system, I did find that the bristles on the brushes were a tad bit soft and I do wish they had a gradient of bristle selections. Otherwise, I enjoyed using the quip a lot!

  • Lighter than any other electric toothbrush I’ve used before, which actually makes brushing a lot less of a chore. The motors tend to die after a year or so, but the company replaces the entire unit when it does. I’m probably on my fourth or fifth quip by now. Support can take a while to respond, so you might want to request a new brush before yours actually dies.

  • Great toothbrush, good for trips as well. Sleek design too.

  • I’ve loved my Quip electric toothbrush and the gum/dispenser is cool too. I wish they had other options for firmness of toothbrush heads.

  • The bristles were too hard and there were no options for softer brush heads when I was subscribed. The toothbrush also simply vibrates, there is no motion otherwise.

  • Works well by expensive refill program

  • I'll start with what I like about quip, which is a lot – they are extremely sleek and portable while still giving the benefits of an electric brush, they're well-designed, the subscription is really convenient and easy to manage, and the timed brushing is honestly a really good incentive to brush your teeth well. The reason I give a slightly lower rating is that I had two toothbrushes crack/break in such a way that the brush heads wouldn't stay on, so I feel like the quality isn't quite what it should be. In both instances quip quickly helped me replace the brush, but it was frustrating enough that I've switched back to a regular brush for now.

  • It’s actually a mechanical toothbrush! The vibrations are only used for the timer, not for the Brissles. Honestly kinda scammy

  • CONVENIENT! I used this brush for a couple years! Definitely satisfied customer but ended up switching to higher end brush!

  • I love that this toothbrush will monitor my brushing, it tracks as you brush. The design is very unique. It has a slim handle with soft bristles which makes it easy to throw in a travel bag. The tracking allows you to see spots tat you've missed so that you get a good brush in! Best of all is that you can set up a plan to receive head and batteries every 3 months.

  • I love my toothbrush, but it's still just a toothbrush, so I don't know how over the top amazing that can be.

  • I love my quip, it feels satisfying to use, it looks cute in my bathroom and the subscription is super easy to manage.

  • The only product I could speak on is the toothbrush. I would say it’s a simple toothbrush that teaches people how to brush their teeth for a minimum of 2 minutes. The actual toothbrush is nothing special the quality was nice.

  • As someone who takes oral health really seriously, I was excited to try this brand. Despite them being cost friendly and convenient to purchase, I don’t think this product really stands up against other electric toothbrushes. Save your money.

  • This toothbrush is great! The vibration notifications while brushing indicate when it is time to switch sides while brushing. The service where you get the new brush heads couldn’t be easier. And they give you directions for how to clean your brush with your old head

  • The simple but elegant design of this electric toothbrush is fantastic. I like having the subscription service as someone with ADHD, it helps me make sure I’m changing the brush part regularly.

  • I used quip for about a year, and I stopped using it because my dentist said it wasn't that great—that the vibration is so subtle I might as well use a normal toothbrush. I did like the way the pulses made sure I spent enough time cleaning each section of my teeth, and the design is sleek, but to me it wasn't worth the price if I wasn't getting the full benefit of a stronger electric toothbrush.
