Reviews mention

  • Sleek, minimalist design
  • Compact, travel-friendly form
  • Timed, guided brushing pulses
  • Convenient refill subscription
  • Weak cleaning vibration
  • Fragile head connection
  • Hard-to-remove battery parts
  • Bristles wear or feel harsh

quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

  • Worst toothbrush I’ve ever owned. Yeah, it looks cool, modern and hip - but does nothing special to clean your teeth. Think of a regular toothbrush that vibrates & does absolutely nothing for you. I found myself scrubbing my teeth harder despite the vibrations. Save your money and get a real electric toothbrush and save your teeth! 1/10 ⭐️

    Everything

  • I’ve been using a Quip brush for about a year and a half now. I love it so much I bought my spouse one too. The timer is what does it for me, always leaves my teeth feeling super clean.

The toothpaste just wasn’t our fav. Too liquidy and not the best mint.

  • I was an earlier adopter of Quip and had a great experience for the first 2 years of using it. The customer service was great, I enjoyed brushing with it, and the subscription element. Around the 3 year mark, I had a consistent issue with the brush head breaking off in use. The customer service team sent over a replacement base but that didn’t permanently solve the problem. Then I had an issue the brush turning on while I wasn’t using it. I decided to cancel my subscription after that. I don’t know if there was an issue with manufacturing or if they switched manufacturers but I would not recommend.

  • I love that they have made teeth cleaning sexy, but I don't feel like the slight buzzing does much more than a regular manual toothbrush. I went back to my Oral B so I could get that dentist clean feeling when I'm at home, but use Quip for travel.

  • My first foray into the Quip world was with their electric toothbrush. I quickly stopped using it because I ended up reading that other electric brushes from Sonicare etc. were more effective. Recently, I purchased their reusable floss dispenser, mouthwash dispenser, as well as their travel floss dispenser. The normal floss is great and I like that it gives you direction on how long the floss should be. The mouthwash dispenser was gorgeous, but my first product had some leaking issues. Quip was pretty great about resolving the issue, and they ended up shipping me a replacement very quickly. I also received some mouthwash bottles that were leaking, and they replaced those as well. The travel floss pick was a little difficult for me to use, and the floss wouldn't stay taut. It turns out that I had to order the thinner floss so it wouldn't get stuck as much between my teeth. I wish that was an option when I first purchased the product. However, the refills are very affordable so it wasn't a huge issue for me. I love that I can be sustainable by swapping out parts of my daily routine!

Option to choose floss thickness while ordering.

  • I liked the packaging and look of the product, but found it difficult to get replacement brushes and overall I just like my Sonic Care electric toothbrush better. I feel like it gives me a better clean.

  • I like that their floss is refillable and gives an ecofriendly option to floss picks but the floss doesn’t hold very well and easily comes out. The toothbrush is also just a regular toothbrush that vibrates and doesn’t really do anything else so you’re really just paying for an overpriced fancy looking toothbrush with a vibrating timer.

Create an actual electric toothbrush and fix the mechanism that holds the floss

  • I will give it to them for the sleek design and marketing. Some of their products are very smart and reduce waste

My dentist said that many people who use quip end up having to go to a regular toothbrush (including myself)

  • I've had my Quip for a few years now. I don't notice if my smile was overall healthier or anything, however with the timer I find myself not cutting corners when I brush. Overall, it's just like a normal toothbrush. Fun for a gift or the aesthetics, but there are other electric toothbrushes that can give you a better clean. The subscriptions are easy to manage, pause, and cancel.

    Spinning/mechanical heads.

  • It's a good transition from a normal toothbrush to an electric one. Also it's pretty light to hold and the design is slim and sleek.

A higher powered option would be nice. I feel like sometimes the buzz for the brush is too light.

  • Initially really liked Quip; gave it 4/5 rating. However, my dentist, without being told I used this toothbrush, asked, "Do you use Quip? I can see it doesn't clean as well and you should get an Oral-B electric brush." She was right and I have seen and felt a difference after switching brushes. The design of the brush is top-notch and their subscription management is seamless. Yet, I would no longer reccomend this to a friend as it wasn't as effective at doing what it was designed to do, clean teeth, as I initially thought.

  • The best thing about Quip is the scheduled delivery. I usually lose track of how old my toothbrush is so it's nice to have that taken care of without any effort on my end. The thing is.. I felt bamboozled when I learned that the vibration doesn't actually help to clean my teeth, but to keep track of how long I've spent brushing. I don't use this anymore, but it helped me jumpstart my dental hygiene after some shameful visits to the dentist.

  • An overpriced toothbrush with a vibrator attached to it. Other than looking pretty there’s no extra benefit. Save your money.

    Feedback

The vibration only move the Handel and not the actual brush. So it basically does nothing but time how long you brush.

  • Convenient service, I don’t have to worry about running out of toothpaste and the replacement brush head is nice.

    Feedback

I don’t think the vibration is necessary, is so gentle you almost don’t even feel it when your brushing your teeth

  • I was so excited for this toothbrush, but it is all design and no function. The motor does not move the bristles, so it's not really an electric toothbrush--just a toothbrush with a vibrating base. Save your money and don't be fooled by the gorgeous marketing!

  • I tried the reusable/refillable floss picks. The idea is great but it didn’t work for me. The pick doesn’t hold enough tension for the floss and ends up loosening if you have tight teeth. I had to change the floss strand several times. Thankfully the pick is easy to use/get used to. The design is also very sleek and uses magnets to hold the floss compartment and pick.

Adjust the tension of the floss pick.

  • I bought this toothbrush because I loved the look but it is essentially an expensive manual toothbrush. The vibration is a joke and might as well not be there.

    Feedback

    Bristles should move from vibration.

  • Very convenient to have a toothbrush and battery shipped automatically as your current brush wears out. Definitely saved the headache of remembering to pick up a brush at the store.

    Feedback

I found the brush itself to not be much better than a non-electric brush. The vibration was low strength and good for someone with sensitive gums but did not provide as clean a feeling as other electric brushes.

  • I use this toothbrush everyday. It does the job but I think for the price it does not do anything special and I notice that the brush gets worn down quickly.

  • I will never buy another toothbrush. The convenience of having replacement brushes shipped can't be beat. It's a simple design, the toothbrush works, and the price point for replacement brush heads is great.
