Portland Pet Food Company Reviews

4.8

Portland Pet Food Company reviews say the brand works: picky and senior dogs consistently eat and thrive on the food, while strengths include fresh, recognizable ingredients and flavor variety; weaknesses include price sensitivity and occasional digestive upset. Prospective buyers should expect high-quality, shelf-stable meals and toppers that reliably entice finicky eaters, but be prepared for premium cost and rare cases of diarrhea or packaging concerns.

  • My pup loves their treats! They smell really good and the ingredients are top quality. My Pomeranian has sensitive stomach but she hasn’t face any digestive problems eating them.

I’m looking forward smaller treat sizes and flavors. But overall I’m super happy

  • I have a picky eater on my hands, who frequently refuses to accept the high quality kibble his sister eats with gusto. Never once in all the time I have been offering him Portland Pet Food has he refused to eat! I have also been able to coax him to eat other things by using PPF as a topper. We love it!

    More flavor variety

  • Our dog loved the topper we put on his dry food. It made us feel good giving him something with such obvious quality!

  • High-quality dog food that is worth the price. The Grain and Gluten-Free Pumpkin Biscuit Dog Treats are perfect for a pet with a delicate stomach.

What is Portland Pet Food Company?

In their own words

Portland Pet Food Company was started for the love a senior dog, Rosie. Rosie was 14 years old, and her health began to rapidly decline. While vets said it was her time to go, founder and "Top Dog," Katie McCarron, did not give up on Rosie, and she put her background in human food nutrition to work to create a better dog food for her - she began cooking at home exclusively using natural, whole food ingredients. The cooking rejuvenated Rosie and she lived nearly to 17, and with that, Portland Pet Food Company was born. Today, we continue to use the same recipes that started in Katie's kitchen. Our meal toppers are packed with nutrient-rich, whole foods, and they are great for picky eaters, senior dogs, or active dogs, making them a great way to liven up mealtime!
