  • I used this moisturizer along with the serum for my dry acne-prone skin. The serum did wonders for my acne so I tried out the moisturizer and it was also amazing! It’s hydrating enough to visibly keep the skin looking and feeling hydrated but not pore clogging & greasy like most moisturizers marketed to dry skin. It sits very nicely under spf and makeup products which is another issue I have with most moisturizers. I honestly use it as makeup primer when I’m doing my makeup in the evening. The niacinamide is also an added benefit as well since it helps fade post acne marks which I also dealt with frequently. Lastly, the packaging is hygienic, luxurious, and just fun to use which is also a great added bonus to the whole experience. Overall, 4.5-5/5 stars and would def recommend to be paired with serum.

  • This product is the longest I’ve ever had a skin care subscription because the three products really do work. You do have to be consistent and it can be tough when you run out of the solution before the next shipment arrives but it kicks butt. Would just like less moisturizer and more of that face wash and main solution.

  • Did not have a good experience on Phyla. First, they tell you to stop all other skincare products, instead of telling you what particular ingredients to avoid. I was skeptical, but since it's live actives, I did stop everything else. However, this probably contributed to my horrible breakouts. My acne was so inflamed and painful that I barely wanted to leave the house. Their support told me I was purging, so I gave it a full 3 months before I couldn't take it anymore. The breakouts unfortunately persisted for a while after I stopped. Their concept is very interesting, but as far as I can tell there have been NO peer-reviewed studies on topical phage therapy for acne (at least, not in human subjects). This brand is basically using its paying customers to research this potential treatment pathway, but without any of the ethics and support that is required in a real clinical study. They also make some dubious medical claims on their website, as detailed here: https://youtu.be/qW1DFdpvY9Q I have tried so many acne treatments and was desperate for something new, as many of us are. So I totally understand the urge to try it when you're down/breaking out. 💌 However, I think Phyla takes advantage of that feeling and is NOT worth the risk for people struggling with acne. I recommend instead just finding a derm you trust, and reading about treatment options somewhere like acne.org: https://www.acne.org/acne-treatments

  • This moisturizer is so hydrating. I moved to Las Vegas during the winter, and my skin was so dried out. This moisturizer saved my skin. It helped moisture stay in. In addition to the Las Vegas winter, my skin barrier was destroyed by previous months of laser, facials, prescription acne treatment, but this moisturizer helped the healing process. I'm in a more humid climate now, and it is a little heavy for summer. But for the rest of the seasons it will be fine.
