Reviews mention

  • Engaging, charismatic instructors
  • Extensive, evolving class library
  • Sturdy, smooth ride hardware
  • Motivating, community-driven platform
  • Uncomfortable, rigid bike saddle
  • High, recurring membership fees
  • Occasional clunky software updates
  • Inconsistent hardware longevity

Peloton wins praise in reviews for motivating, studio-caliber classes, engaging instructors (Cody Rigsby, Alex Toussaint, Robin Arzón), seamless app breadth, and sturdy, smooth hardware that makes at‑home workouts convenient and habit‑forming; however, recurring membership costs are widely criticized, the bike seat comfort and occasional hardware maintenance issues recur, and some find the experience overrated or less effective than live classes. Overall, Peloton is good if you’ll use it consistently and value variety and community, but buyers should weigh subscription demands and ergonomics.

  • If you like cycling and spinning, it’s a great workout! The app is very helpful and the workouts are modifiable for abilities and endurance levels.

  • Definitely worth the price you pay. Top notch instructors and technology. Sinks with Apple Watch

  • I've had the peloton bike for almost 4 years and while I wish I used it more, it's not often I get on the bike anymore. I haven't made the time with my busy lifestyle to make it work, but when I was consistently using it, I loved it! I love that there are different types of classes too because I get bored with the same routine over and over. There are many instructors and types of classes including things not done on the bike that I love. The app is well worth it too if you don't have a bike or elliptical.

  • *Disclaimer* I recently began working at Peloton but have been a member for years beforehand. We purchased a Bike+ in 2021 and from then on, I understood the hype. Although the build quality is great, the Peloton experience is truly about the instructors. I began on the bike but also started taking strength classes, taking treadmill classes on my non-peloton treadmill from the App, and recently began taking Gym and strength classes. If you like the competitive nature of taking group classes but want to do so in the privacy of your own home, I'd highly recommend having the App. The Gym feature has been great in doing traditional strength training without having to create the programs myself and that experience is only going to get better over time. The last part I'll comment on is the passionate community. Peloton is what it is because of the dedicated members that don't hold back when it comes to sharing their opinions on the experience. You can be sure that the teams truly listen to members to improve the experience and ensure you're moving forward in your fitness journey. The experience is obviously not perfect but with the dedicated members and team behind the company, it will only improve over time!

    Works for Peloton
  • I heard about the hype of Peloton but was never into it until I started using my gym's peloton. It is AMAZING. I like that there are live classes and pre-recorded classes with different class length that you can choose from so you can decide if you want a chill day or a more intense workout. I also really like the variety of classes from Disney music, Broadway to Pop music, you name it they have it! I also like the class ranking aspect since I work harder when I try to beat other people and beat my past scores.

  • Biiiig Peloton girlie! Their rides and on demand workouts have helped my mental and physical health SO much! It’s so convenient to not have to leave your house and to be able to get in a quick workout any time of day.

  • I must be honest and say that I do not own a Peleton. However, my roommate does and I use his all the time. I consider myself super lucky because most of the time, I do not have time to make the commute to the gym in the morning before work. With the Peleton down the hall in our office space, I never have to miss a workout. The Peleton is perfect for the person who needs to get a quick, but effective workout in. It's also perfect if you love to cycle (like I do) but hate doing it in the cold because where you live, it's cold 6 months out of the year. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

  • I've had the Bike+ for about two years. It's an extremely well-crafted piece of equipment. It's definitely on the premium end of the exercise bike spectrum, and the cost shows. The welding is top notch, and the bike is heavy and sturdy. The handlebars do shift back and forth a little bit when you're really yanking on them, which is slightly annoying because the monitor is attached to them, but this is a minor gripe. I stopped paying for the subscription after about a year. The content is very good, I just didn't feel like it was worth the cost. I definitely got higher intensity workouts when I was using the subscription service, but I've switched to a combination of watching streaming shows (so I can veg and workout at the same time) and using the workouts on Apple Fitness+, which I get for free with my health insurance. I miss the tight integration between the Peloton workout content and the bike, but not enough to continue with the service. I would probably re-subscribe if the price came down, or I could just pick a narrower slice of content to view. If I could go back in time, I probably would've spent a little time to try and scoop one of these up on the secondary market. They're so well-built, I wouldn't hesitate to get one used.

  • I love the peloton bike and the wide variety of classes and fresh content and programs. I love that I can also watch Netflix or Max while riding now. This was a great investment and I don’t regret it!

  • Definitely think that Peleton is overrated. Some of the workouts are good and some are just ok. But way too pricey imo

  • I have had the peloton bike for over 4 years and I use it weekly along with the peloton app for my workouts. I love peloton and couldn’t have completed my workout journey without them the classes are entertaining and keep you engaged and I can’t wait to order the tread or rower.

  • I love my peloton, it's so convenient and easy to get a workout.

  • Love my peloton bike!!! Very motivating and pushes me to work harder!

  • I am a true Peloton convert. Prior to the pandemic I thought the idea of working out at home was silly, but now I’ll never go back. The bike itself is good, but the library of content they offer is really what sets this brand apart. They have such a wide range of workouts both on and off the bike and the instructors are all amazing in their own ways.

  • Love being able to workout at home and have all the support at my fingertips.

  • I have both the Peloton Bike and Treadmill. I love the classes, certain instructors, and the accessibility it gives me to a hard workout at home. It is definitely worth the investment! High quality as well, though the bike seat can be hard to sit on and may bruise your legs. I recommend purchasing a padded bike seat cover to go on top of it.

  • It’s a good bike. I don’t like the expensive membership. The seat is not comfortable. Compact. Needs more sceneries & guitar hero music.

    N/A No Discount
  • Worth the money if you love at home workouts. I personally prefer a mix of home and studio work, but the bike is my go-to for busy/lazy days. You can customize your workouts to your targets or whatever you're feeling that day. Having a quick option and multiple types of workouts is great. I'd probably use it more for the rower or tread, things you can't usually find in a studio. Saved me during pandemic and keep using it.

  • Expensive bike with painful seat- couldnot ride for more than 20 minutes.
