To say I loved my Paro experience would be an understatement. Delicious, flavorful, filling meals that are ready in 30 min! I tried the Kitchari with some Tarka on top and it was so tasty. I like using the Tarka on toast with cottage cheese (my friend's recommendation!)

Absolutely delicious! We understand why it's called "comfort food".  Unique flavors to an American palate and you need to keep in mind that this is Pakistani food, not Indian, not Thai, not anything else... so if you set your expectations for something new, you've found it and we loved it.

Love the branding and packaging. I wanted to love the taste, but I did not! I cook with a lot of Disapora Co spices and these flavors just did not live up to those. 

From the moment I opened the box until the smell of the spices, Paro is a memorable, healthy and enjoyable experience!

We love food with lots of spice and taste and Paro does not disappoint. An easy meal that is fast and delicious for us. 

Very easy to make, fun packaging, delicious flavors. This really removed a barrier for me to make a related main dish, as it got the side dish right! I will be repurchasing!

Sadly I found these to smell much better than they taste. As someone who cooks a lot of lentils, I also find them to be wildly expensive for what they are. I don't think these are good for people new to South Asian food, because theyre pretty bland, nor do I think they're good for people experienced with cooking South Asian food, because they're expensive  ($10 for ~5 oz of lentils!!!) . 

Its not even a time saver- these take around 30 minutes to cook. Not sure I understand the point.

So happy I discovered Paro! I love having ways and quick meal options and Paro makes throwing together a nutritious meal super easy. I recently took a few boxes on a camping trip and it was so great! The only downside I’ve found is that sometimes the instructions aren’t quite accurate (more cooking time needed, more water etc).

I received the Paro bundle through thingdrop. The Tarka is incredible, and I have already purchased additional jars. I found both the Kitchari and Daal to be watery and a little lacking in flavor. I thought I followed the instructions exactly. Not sure if that’s the nature of the product or if something went wrong. 

Tried Paro as a part of the thingdrop program. Liked the design and feel of the packaging.

As someone who doesn't cook a ton, is unfamiliar with spices, and doesn't have lentils at home, this kit seemed ideal for me.

Upon *actually* cooking one box (the kitchari), I found that it required a bit more work and effort than I anticipated. When reading the instructions, it seemed like cooking just the contents of the box would be fine as a meal. However, I felt like the box, on its own, wasn't enough as a meal, and it required the addition of vegetables and extra salt too. Would note that I forgot to add the tarka oil, so maybe that would've made the difference.

I wonder if it'd be possible to add freeze-dried vegetables (and a bit more salt) so that each box contains everything needed.

Overall, I thought it was fine, but I'm not sure if I'd get it again.
