Opopop earns mixed reviews: it elevates microwave popcorn with fresher-tasting, inventive flavors and a convenient silicone popper, but inconsistency in flavor intensity and popping performance undercuts the experience. Reviewers praise savory standouts like Fancy Butter, Salty Umami, and Lightly Salted, while others report weak or artificial-tasting flavors (Maui Heat, cheddar jalapeño), occasional weird aftertaste, sucralose sensitivity, bowl burns, and cleaning hassle.
I love this popcorn. It took a minute for me to figure out how to set the bowl up but once I got it together, I experienced the best popcorn ever. (That was only the test launch package) I can’t wait to try the other flavors. Yummo times 100!!
The popcorn pops nicely. My complaint is the flavor. There is none! I was hoping for a buttery flavor on the “ extra butter “ that never happened. The pickle tasted like plain popcorn. The Maui heat has no heat. I was hard pressed to find any caramel flavor on the caramel popcorn the flavors are virtually non existent. It is not worth the price.
Convenience meets taste! I thought from the website these would be over the top with flavor, but I was pleasantly surprised. Super easy, portioned pouches, you just pour into any silicone microwave popcorn maker and found all the flavors to be just the right amount of flavoring where it was tasty but not overwhelming
I recently tried DTC popcorn company, Opopop for the first time. With a great range of flavors and super easy to use kit, the way they covered the kernels made this feel indulgent but not unhealthy (140 calories per serving), and provided me with both savory and sweet snacks in recent work weeks!
