  • Bold, aromatic flavor sauces
  • Chewy, satisfying noodle texture
  • Clear, helpful recipe cards
  • Versatile across proteins and vegetables
  • Inconsistent flavor depth across varieties
  • Thin, watery sauce consistency
  • Small, skimpy portion sizes
  • Wasteful single-use packet packaging

Omsom earns strong reviews for delivering bold, easy-to-use Asian sauces and saucy noodles that help home cooks achieve flavorful results fast, with highlights like the Yuzu Misoyaki glaze, Larb, Krapow, and chewy noodle texture. Reviews also surface drawbacks: portions run small, several flavors lack depth or skew watery/overly spicy, sauce-to-noodle ratios feel light, and packaging reads single‑use and wasteful—useful to know if authenticity, intensity, or sustainability are priorities.

  • I love the saucy noodles. They are expensive in that it's just 1 serving of noodles & sauce, but they are really nice to have on hand for days you are in a hurry. I added some frozen vegetables & shrimp and had a really satisfying meal in under 15 mins.

  • These two flavors were great. My partner loved the soy garlic and I thought the garlic black pepper was delicious. We added broccoli, edamame, and green onion making these the perfect quick dinner we needed. Lots of flavor vs lots of salt. Noodle texture was nice, chewy, and the amount of sauce to noodle ratio was pretty good even with the added broccoli - not super saucy but just enough. Would like the option of thick rice noodles but we'll try the seasoning packets for that. The box says two servings - I'd say 1-1.5. Prepared as described. Wish all flavors were vegan. I have already repurchased these flavors.

  • I love Omsom's sauce packets for a quick weeknight meal. I use the yuzu miso glaze on oven roasted salmon, the bulgogi on a quick rice and beef bowl, and the lemongrass ginger on stir fried chicken and veggies. Omsom sauce packets are a staple in my house.

  • Absolutely obsessed with these noodles! I've tried the Chili Sesame and the Coconut lemongrass and both are winners in my book. A lovely chewy texure, umami based sauces, and is done in under 5 minutes. I normally add some grilled chicken and veggies for a full meal with some leftovers left. Please release more flavors of these!

  • + tasty lemongrass flavor + bright and colorful packaging + liked the wavy noodle texture - though the sauce was yummy, it was really watery and kept falling off the noodles. the noodles ended up being bland. i tried to combine it with some pasta water / cornstarch to help it stick to the the noodles. - on the expensive side hovering at around $5 for a box. you can get 4-5 instant noodles with just as much flavor with indomie.

  • Osom is an exciting addition to the everyday food prep! While shopping at Whole Foods I reached for the Yuzu Miso Glaze. This glaze is a sticky, amber, sauce perfect for coating salmon or marinating veggies or chicken. Held a sweet citrus, umami flavor that resulted in shiny and thick coating of the flavorful sauce. A downside is the packaging. I believe there’s more product in the packet than the distributors might believe, as I found myself having to put the torn aluminum/plastic baggie into a ziplock, which in turn squeezed itself between some condiment jars in the fridge and became quite messy. Still used every drop from the ziplock bag, though! Osom is a very exciting way to modernize some classic Asian flavors. I look forward to trying many products as they continue to grow, and hope it expands pallets with it’s accessibility.

  • Okay, so these are definitely a bit expensive, but I just can't resist grabbing them when I'm at my local Whole Foods because they're so convenient!

  • Love Omsom as a way to capture authentic flavors and seasonings in a convenient way. My partner is Thai but doesn't want to store large quantities of the necessary spices and ingredients to make his favorite Thai dishes. He loves the convenience of the Thai Larb Sauce. We've also tried the Yuzu Miso glaze and really like it.

Omsom packets are definitely not as cost-effective as buying the individual spices, but their convenience and authentic taste makes it worth it!

  • Love their packaging and sauces! Very easy to cook and delicious!

More sauce in each portion would be perfect!

  • Omsom has a wide range of sauces from different Asian cultures, making it super easy to incorporate these long-used flavors into today's dishes. I was not much of a cook when I first bought Omsom's sauces, but as an 1st-generation Asian-American, I was always looking to bring the flavor of my parents' dishes--the flavors I grew up having--to my own cooking. Used as a marinade, sauce, or both, the sauces are not only super convenient but incredibly flavorful and delicious as well. Would recommend for cooks of all levels!

I wish they sold individual flavors in greater packs than 3! Maybe even bottles would be awesome (and less plastic!)

  • Omsom is a truly delicious treat. When I say delicious, I'm speaking to those who are comfortable with the slow burn of Thai spice; frankly even if you're not comfortable, the starters are worth it. Most of these kinds of starter packs are laden with sodium, but Omsom offers a rich depth of flavor that could challenge your go-to take out spot, without the heart burn.
