OLAPLEX earns polarized reviews: many report visibly stronger, smoother, shinier hair—especially with No.3 Hair Perfector, No.6 Bond Smoother, No.7 Bonding Oil, and the 4P Purple Shampoo—while others experience dryness, heaviness, greasiness, or no lasting improvement. Reviews suggest it can work brilliantly for bleached/blonde or damaged hair but may weigh down fine hair and effects may fade without consistent use; some users also mention fragrance concerns and allegations of hair loss or irritation.

i used the bonding creme and really liked it! However i did notice my hair would fall out a little more than usual because it was weighing down my head a lot, a little goes a long way as it is super concentrated!

Pricey product but worth it!! I’ve been using Olaplex for over 2 years and I personally love using the N. 6 Bond Smoother. It helps defrizz my hair and make it feel super soft.

The hair perfector, shampoo, and conditioner are absolutely 10/10. I did a gifted campaign with the company and was thoroughly impressed with the results. Definitely revived my hair.

Love the hair masks most of all, it’s rejuvenating to say the least.

I tried Olaplex 3 based on recommendations and unfortunately I didn’t like it. It smells great but I found it my hair very dry.

The bonding treatment/cream is worth the money. My hair is dry, coarse, thick, and color-treated, and after about an hour and a half on my hair, it felt softer and smoother once I washed and dried it. I’ve gotten about 4 applications from it and I have shoulder-length hair.

I get highlights, which is bleach every 4 months. I have used Olaplex every time, except this last time I got my hair done. Without the Olaplex my hair feels dry and stringy. I won’t skip it again.

Genuinely saved my hair. My hair is the healthiest it has been since using their shampoo, conditioner, and oil. I always stock up on the gift set during the holidays to get the products at a discount and I love that they’re travel size! A little goes a long way!

This product has literally prevented my hair from breaking the rest of the way off after a double 40 vol. bleach bomb disaster! Their entire line is fantastic. Must haves: 1, 2, 3, 8, and 9. If your hair is fine or on the thin side of the spectrum, these products bulk up the strands in a really great way. Downsides: my hair is naturally pretty curly, I have noticed recently that that isn't so much the case anymore. Most likely, with my hair being extremely bleach destroyed as well as fine and thin, repairing the strands of hair has subsequently made it more dense, heavier, whereby pulling out much of the curl. I'll gladly take the trade! Without Olaplex my hair would be broken off 3 inches from my scalp and I would look like a deranged tennis ball. Thanks, Olaplex... people like you.

The only shampoo and conditioner I like to use!!! I love the styling products and mask, too!

Good product but I felt it dried out my hair, I also struggled because I had an allergic reaction.

Meh. I think that it’s definitely an innovation for hair repair and maintenance however, I believe this can be overused if proper education is of lack. I also believe there is a lot of hype for non-professional consumers which can be overshadowing.

I've been using Olaplex for many years now. My stylist started using it by adding it to my base color. Then I began to buy my own products for home. I use the bonder, leave-in, purple and clarifying. I also use the #7 oil after I've done my styling. The product my stylist uses in the salon has definitely made my hair more subtle and less dry. It definitely has helped with breakage as well. I am not a huge fan of the toning shampoo or the clarifying. The clarifying feels very stripping, which I understand is the point, but it's too much so. I feel like it makes my hair more dry than usual. For anyone needing a good all over treatment plan, I would definitely recommend trying the line - especially the salon line. Ask your stylist about adding it to your coloring.

Bought on reviews of making my hair amazing but it did not deliver. Very disappointed on smell, has a chemical smell that lingers. I have fine, curly hair and felt it was not the best product for my hair as it made it more limp and hard to style. Wish I had returned as it was a waste of money.

Love the purple shampoo. Smells good and TRULY gets rid of my brassy blonde. Makes my highlights pop like brand new. Great for my blonde level 8/9 curly type b/c Caucasian hair.

It smells great but did not do great things for my hair. Over time, it made my hair look damaged and broken. Had to switch hair products and my hair looked so much healthier after discontinuing use.

Not worth the hype. Overpriced and ineffective if not used consistently. Other brands do better for a fraction of the cost

Even though it's a little overpriced, it's worth every single penny, for sure! I love their hair products, they are all amazing but my favourite? I'll have to say Nº7! This oil is something out of this world, it leaves your hair so so so smoth and incredibly shiny!!!

I have naturally dark asian hair that is bleach blonded over and over again so you can just imagine how dry and unhealthy it is. I tried No. 0,3,4,5 and 7 altogether and it brought my hair back to life! Haven’t felt my hair this healthy in years.
