OLAPLEX earns polarized reviews: many report visibly stronger, smoother, shinier hair—especially with No.3 Hair Perfector, No.6 Bond Smoother, No.7 Bonding Oil, and the 4P Purple Shampoo—while others experience dryness, heaviness, greasiness, or no lasting improvement. Reviews suggest it can work brilliantly for bleached/blonde or damaged hair but may weigh down fine hair and effects may fade without consistent use; some users also mention fragrance concerns and allegations of hair loss or irritation.

Honestly still a bit perplexed by the hype for Olaplex? I've tried it several times, including a variety set for different treatments. Some of them left my hair oily and maybe I just don't have the right hair for it. Fine-medium wavy asian hair. Not sure. Still associate the brand with a good quality product but hasn't quite worked for me.
I've used OLAPLEX both on my virgin and colour treated hair! Their shampoo has always worked well to clean my hair without making it feel too dry. Their No. 2 treatment used in salons really helps my hair feel silky after I bleach it. The conditioner (No. 5) was okay but not hydrating enough for my hair type. I've also used their No 7 hair oil but it wasn't something I found worked extraordinarily for me.
I notice a huge difference in my hair when I use the Olaplex line. I have 2C curls and my hair is consistently dry and in need of moisture, especially since I moved to a dry climate. I was gifted the Olaplex line by a friend for the holidays and my hair SHINED just in time for all the holiday parties. I loved it so much I repurchased but it is expensive…
I have tried both purple shampoo and the leave in olaplex. I like them both but didn’t see a huge difference in my hair. I liked using it and felt like I was taking care of my hair while using but didn’t see a huge difference after
Liked the products just fine but used consistently for a year and did not notice a difference.
Absolutely, here's a moderately long review for an Olaplex product: Review: Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3 I've struggled with damaged and brittle hair for years due to consistent coloring and heat styling. My quest for a solution led me to Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3, and I must say, this product has been a game-changer for my hair care routine. Olaplex No. 3 is more than just a typical hair mask; it's a reparative treatment that truly revitalizes hair from within. I was initially skeptical, given the countless products I've tried in the past, but the results were undeniable. Firstly, the application process is a breeze. I apply the treatment to damp, towel-dried hair, leaving it in for around 30 minutes (sometimes longer if I have the time). The creamy consistency makes it easy to distribute evenly, and the light scent is a pleasant bonus. What impressed me most was the noticeable difference after just a few uses. My hair felt stronger, smoother, and visibly healthier. The formula worked wonders in restoring the natural shine and bounce that I thought was lost forever. It even helped in reducing breakage, which was a constant concern for me. One of the best parts about Olaplex No. 3 is its versatility. I've used it both as a standalone treatment and as an additive to my usual conditioner, and it never fails to deliver outstanding results. It's become a staple in my weekly routine, and I've noticed a significant improvement in the overall health of my hair over time. The price might seem a bit steep, but the effectiveness of this product makes it worth every penny. I've found that a little goes a long way, making the bottle last longer than expected, which adds to its value.
As someone who has struggled with hair damage in the past, I was intrigued to see if OLAPLEX could live up to its claims. Here's what I thought about their products: What I liked: First and foremost, I was impressed with the effectiveness of OLAPLEX's bond-building hair care products. They truly delivered on their promise to restore damaged and compromised hair. I noticed a significant improvement in the overall health and appearance of my hair after incorporating OLAPLEX into my hair care routine. The products worked to repair and strengthen my hair, leaving it feeling softer, smoother, and more manageable. One standout product in the OLAPLEX range is their No. 3 Hair Perfector. This at-home treatment is easy to use and delivers remarkable results. It helped to repair and rebuild the bonds in my hair, reducing breakage and improving its overall integrity. I found that my hair became more resilient and looked noticeably healthier after regular use of the No. 3 Hair Perfector. What could have been better: While I had a positive experience with OLAPLEX overall, it is important to address the concerns that have been raised in news articles regarding cancer and its effects on hair. It is always crucial to approach such claims with a critical mindset and rely on scientific evidence. It is advisable to consult with a healthcare professional or dermatologist if you have any specific concerns or sensitivities. In conclusion, OLAPLEX impressed me with their bond-building hair care products that effectively restore damaged and compromised hair. The products, particularly the No. 3 Hair Perfector, delivered noticeable results and improved the overall health and appearance of my hair. However, it is important to stay informed and make well-informed decisions based on scientific evidence when it comes to any potential concerns regarding the brand.
I do love Olaplex, especially on my bleached hair. It smells amazing, it definitely makes my hair softer. I took away one star because my hair is also curly and it's not great on curly hair. However, when I use the system and then blow dry my hair, it looks so good and feels very healthy.
Olaplex is a really good brand but there very overpriced. If their prices were more fair I would purchase from them often. As it is I purchase from them a couple times a year.

The shampoo is excellent though expensive.
I want to start by saying that I am an Aveda girl all the way, so to say I love this product is a big deal. I have used #8 Bond intensive Moisture Mask. I use it as a weekly deep conditioner. I love it and how it makes my hair fee. Today, I tried the #9 Bond Protectant Hair Serum for the fist time. It has left it feeling so soft and silky without a frizz to be found!
Did not like how any of it made my hair feel. The purple shampoo is the only product I would repurchase
I love using this to keep my hair bright and fresh looking. These products smell so amazing and are super high quality. Love the flip top cap.

You know what, might just not be the right formula for me. I love the smell of olaplex but for the price, I just feel like it left a residue. Would recommend for blonde maintenance but not for other types of curly/wavy/porous hair.
Really helped nurse my hair back to health and effects are long-lasting.
When I bleached my hair from a level 3 to a level 8/9, the hair oil and the N3 hair mask really helped my fried hair to be relatively manageable and smooth. One complaint I have is that the packaging could be more informative about the effects of frequently using the product. My hair went back to being dry and brittle from repeated use of the two products, which I learned was because there was now too much hair protein bonded to my hair. This could've been prevented if the directions included a note that using the product too often can cause protein overload and that you would need a clarifying shampoo to strip off the extra protein bonds.

Olaplex is the fairy godparent of hair care – I used it, and suddenly my locks were like, "Is it just me, or are we red carpet ready?" It's so magical; I half-expected my reflection to wink at me in the mirror. I've never felt more like a hair model and less like a Muppet. Olaplex is like a spa day for your strands; my hair is basically on vacation while I'm just going to the grocery store. If Rapunzel had Olaplex, she would've left that tower a lot sooner. Move over, ordinary conditioners; Olaplex is the superhero of split ends, and my hair is the damsel in distress it rescued. Cheers to good hair days that last longer than my last Netflix binge!
I have been using the Olaplex bonding oil for many years now after I wash my hair and I have seen such a great difference in my hair quality and texture.
Strictly just speaking on the shampoo from the perspective of a male with short, straight hair: I liked the smoothness and strength that I felt in my hair after use. A little bit of it goes a long way for me and the lather is really nice as well. It's a bit on the pricier side than what I'm typically used to, but I don't have to use much and you can generally find them on sale for 30-50% off if you're patient.
