Reviews mention

  • Potent bond-repair technology
  • Luxurious clean fragrance
  • Highly concentrated formulas
  • Effective brass-neutralizing pigment
  • Inconsistent results across hair
  • Potentially drying formulas
  • Heavy feel on fine hair
  • Staining purple pigment

OLAPLEX earns polarized reviews: it visibly strengthens and revives bleached or damaged hair—No. 3 Hair Perfector, No. 6 Bond Smoother, No. 7 Bonding Oil, and the 4P Purple Shampoo are frequent standouts—yet many users report dryness, heaviness, or even increased shedding and brittleness if overused. The brand is praised for salon-clean scent, rich lather, and fast toning, but criticized for inconsistent results across hair types and small, hard-to-dispense bottles.

  • These products are high-end and very expensive. They do not do what they claim, as my hair remained the same after using the products as it was before using them. I would not recommend this brand unless you've run out of other options. It was difficult to return the unused portion to the store where purchased.

  • I love the hair oil - it’s lasted me forever and makes my hair look shiny and helps keep it healthy!

  • I’m writing this review as someone with 3b hair, it’s good. Not amazing, but good. My cousin, with the same hair as me, did complain about hair loss, personally I haven’t experienced any hair loss, but just keep that in mind when shopping.

  • Idk, don’t find it worth the hype. I’ve enjoyed Trader Joe’s hair products more than olaplex.

  • I use the No3 Hair Perfecter and No7 Hair Oil and love them both. My hair is very fine and damages easily, and this helps to keep it protected and feeling and looking healthy and smooth. I need to try the shampoo and conditioner now!

  • No 3 and No 7 will forever be in my cupboard! They make my hair feel so silky smooth, I love them!

  • Hit and miss. I was introduced to this brand by my hairdresser. I stayed by using n. 3 but I did not see any results. The marketing is based on unspecified clinical studies and it looks like blah blah blah than real science. I tied the shampoo and conditioner and they are packed full with silicone. They left my hair dirty and heavy. I have recently tried their oil and it is too expensive for what it does - again packed full with silicone. I have stopped purchasing their products. A lot of marketing and unsatisfactory results.

  • I love this brand, the products are highly recommended and used, and well know. This is mainly for chemical damaged hair, which I do not have. The products work very well and I highly recommend, but they are very expensive.

  • Doesn’t live up to its hype for me :,(.Even bought the entire system 0, #3 etc. and used it consistently. Personally I think K18 is the way to go. ***standout of the line->olaplex basic shampoo is fantastic. I will buy that again.

  • I have super curly hair, that needs a regular deep conditioning. This was nice but ultimately didn’t understand the hype. Maybe better for straight hair.

  • Tried #3. For $30 I only got 3 uses and I didn't notice any difference after using as directed. I'm open to trying something else from them, however I won't be trying #3 again.

  • Olaplex is a game changer for my dry thin brittle hair despite all the lawsuits going on it’s different for everyone I’ll continue to use it’s a game canter for my hair it makes it manageable and healthier looking! My hair hasn’t fell out I’ve used it for years! I just wish it wasn’t so expensive!

  • I started using this as a recommendation from my hairdresser. I have had so many dye jobs. From professionally dyed hot pink bangs to myself lightening my hair from the box. My hair was so dead and I had breakage. I used it for maybe 3 months N’s then went back to my hairdresser. She was like “Wow! This is the first time that your hair has looked healthy!” It’s shiny and smooth and I love it. The cap can be hard to open sometimes tho

  • I have thin bleached fine hair , honestly I use number 3 and number 6 the most and I really enjoy those and they seem to help My hair when I do my hair regime. The shampoo and conditioner and #0 don’t do much but dry your hair out a bit. I’ve had no extra hair loss from any of these products either!!

  • Great hair products, especially if you use wisely and with knowledge of what they do since they actually work make sure you target your needs.

  • Olaplex works wonders for my curly dry hair, leaving it hydrated, nourished, and noticeably healthier.
