Reviews mention

  • Creamy, luxurious mouthfeel
  • Reliable, barista-grade frothing
  • Smooth, neutral oat flavor
  • Versatile, beverage performance
  • Additive-heavy ingredient list
  • Seed oil, rapeseed inclusion
  • Occasional digestive discomfort
  • Sometimes overly sweet taste

Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

  • Overall the brand seems great - I don't know too much about them but I've enjoyed every Oatly drink I've had. I didn't LOVE their ice cream, but I'd still likely get it again as a good alternative. I'm not lactose intolerant, but a bit sensitive to dairy, and I've had a hard time finding a good alternative for my coffee and cereal. Oatly has been the magic ticket.

No feedback regarding improvements - maybe just available more (sometimes I have a hard time finding Oatly at local grocery stores) and maybe more ice cream flavors. ;)

  • My favorite oat milk brand! Not as sweet as other brands which makes it perfect for matcha and lattes!!

    Feedback

    Nothing!

  • Really? Oatmeal water? That's what we're deciding will replace milk? And it tastes oily? Hard pass.

    Feedback

    Probably bring less thick consistency

  • It is a good oat milk. However there are many others that are just as good and for even cheaper. I cant say I see myself reaching for this one over any other brand.

  • Tastes amazing. However, Oatly uses rapeseed oil which is another term for canola oil. Not the best ingredients if you're looking for a "clean" and "healthy" brand

    Feedback

Use "healthier" oil than rapeseed oil.

  • Cute packaging and great taste.

    Feedback

It made my stomach upset. However, I think this is just a me thing and not the product.

  • Tons of preservatives and seed oils. Next!

    Feedback

Put less crap. Not worth the money either.

  • Great oat milk with barista and low fat options as well.

    Feedback

    Could use fewer ingredients.

  • Oatly has a great flavor and mouth feel. But the ingredients are what miss the mark for me.

    Feedback

Cleaner, simpler ingredients. Lots of alternatives out there with minimal additives.

  • Really delicious, one of the best milk alternatives I've had! And, as a barista, the barista version of oatly steams very nicely. I prefer the full-fat version of Oatly as I think it more closely mimics the .. *ahem* mouthfeel of milk, but I've tried the chocolate Oatly as well and it's a delicious treat.

    Feedback

I think Oatly is perfect in most cases, but as a coffee snob I would still prefer whole milk in my coffee as the flavor of Oatly still interferes too much with the taste.

  • Oh my god do i love this milk. It is so good with my lattes. I give the bottle a cold shake for the iced lattes and it is so Smooth and creamy.

    None.

  • Creamy good diary alternative.

    Feedback

Organic version without all the added gross stuff.

  • I love this brand! It’s perfect for iced coffee and for cereal. My picky kids even like it. Not too sweet!

    Feedback

    Never change!!!

  • I did not like this oat milk. I make oat milk at home and I feel like it’s overpriced for what they offer. They also use seed oils, and I am no longer supporting brands who use seed oils (harmful to our health).

    Remove seed oils

  • I love oatly, I go through at least a gallon of the full fat oatly every week. The best milk alternative, hands down.

    Feedback

The ingredients. I wish it was organic and had better quality oils.

  • Have tried other oat milk alternatives and I keep coming back to this one -- it just tastes better than all the other ones out there.

  • I love the chocolate Oat milk !! It mixes super well my coffee and it isn't too sweet :)

  • One of my favorite plant-based milks. Super creamy and similar to regular milk, without the dairy.
