Reviews mention

  • Creamy, luxurious mouthfeel
  • Reliable, barista-grade frothing
  • Smooth, neutral oat flavor
  • Versatile, beverage performance
  • Additive-heavy ingredient list
  • Seed oil, rapeseed inclusion
  • Occasional digestive discomfort
  • Sometimes overly sweet taste

Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

  • Use it every day in my coffee. It doesn't foam like milk, but close enough. and I barely taste a difference when I make matcha lattes with it. Actually. might even taste better with it!

  • I use this oat milk almost everyday. It tastes good and it a good alternative to cows milk which was what I was looking for.

  • I tend to go for almond milk rather than oat, but when I drink milk I drink Oatly. It's delicious, I love the brand personality, the packaging is simple.

I wish there was a lower calorie version. It feels too indulgent to have it every day.

  • Oat milk is not my favorite dairy alternative. It has a lot of additives that are not needed in almond or coconut milk

Selling an option with just oat and water, no other ingredients. Also a recyclable packaging option.

  • Love oatly so much. The consistency, flavor and texture is perfect. Fun brand, great packaging and decent shelf life!

I wish there wasn’t as much oil and fat in the full fat and barista versions. Other than that it’s pretty much perfect?

  • The only oatmilk! It's rich! It steams well! and it tastes amazing. I have tried every oatmilk product in coffee and matcha and nothing does it like oatly.

  • Garbage product. Contains unhealthy oils that you should not be consuming. Brand lies about environmental claims. Only good thing is that it's low cost to produce.

    Remove rapeseed oil!

  • It's not my favorite brand of oat milk but it's in my top 3. It is creamy and froths really well.

I don't know, it just lacks flavor.

  • Oatly tastes great and is pretty creamy.

The packaging isn't very premium. Very standard paper carton. I prefer Califia's packaging, esp bc Califia is a bit cheaper than Oatly.

  • The absolute best Oatmilk, hands down. Barista edition is legit great for steaming at home (lattes etc.). Love the packaging and the branding in general.

  • LOVE this oat milk! The consistency is great and the taste is so good. I can have it my coffee or with my cereal. Other oat milks taste a bit weird and overpower the taste of my cereal.

  • By far my favourite oatmilk brand!

I don’t think it really needs improvement! It’s delicious in coffee, tea and smoothies
