Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

  • I've never been able to drink regular or any nut-based milks due to my allergies, so finding a solid milk alternative has felt like my life's mission. I used to drink Rice Milk but that felt too watery. Oatly is now my go-to Oat Milk for everything: cereal, baking, coffee, etc. Any of their products are a guaranteed win for me and the creaminess as well as the taste have kept me loyal to them and their brand.

  • I believe oatly is the best oat milk out there. Great packaging, great brand, great taste.

  • Great taste and consistency closest to a dairy-based creamer. I absolutely loved using it in my coffee as it created a creamy consistency with a bit of nuttiness. The only downside was the calorie count and price. I felt better trying my hand at making my own at home. Wasn't as creamy, but definitely reduced the calories. This is something I'd buy again if I wanted to indulge on special occasions but if I used it all the time, I could see the pounds sneak on as the months go by. (Age definitely has something to do with it too!)

  • A great non-dairy alternative for steamed milk drinks. If you're concerned with additional ingredients in your oat milk this might not be for you, but those ingredients do help produce a nice foam.

  • Love Oatly. They are my go - to for my homemade oat lattes or Matcha. The Barista edition is great, super smooth and creates a good froth! I also enjoy the design of it, moder, cute and engaging!

  • Don’t like the taste at all! Oat milk is just a fad but I question how good it is for you!

  • Great oat milk, my daughter has allergies and this is a winner for us

  • Best oat milk on the market, has creamy texture and can be foamed for latte

  • I love Oatly products! The oat milk is good and I feel like they were leading the market with making barista versions that don't curdle in hot liquids. I particularly like the cream substitutes, especially the creamy oat fraiche, I think it's nicer than dairy versions.

  • This is the closest you will get to a coffee shop latte without hiring a barista to live with you! Not slimy at all like other oat milks.

  • Overall, this oat milk is ok for a splash in your coffee or frothing for a latte. There’s been a lot of talk about how highly processed it is, which, I think, is pretty obvious. Is it healthy? No. Am I drinking it for the health benefits? Also no. I’ll still reach for this over commercial cows milk. However, I would choose a brand with no canola oil in it over Oatly.

  • Deliciously creamy and silky smooth. I wish the oats were more local but that's all I would complain about.

  • It just tastes the best like, best texture best flavor, love the barista blend and love that the cartons are like a liiittle bit bigger than a regular carton.

  • I find the taste and creaminess on par with other oat milk competitors, but they are much more expensive!
