Reviews mention

  • Creamy, dairy-like mouthfeel
  • Exceptional barista-grade frothing
  • Versatile, cooking-friendly consistency
  • Consistently smooth, neutral flavor
  • Additive-heavy ingredient list
  • Occasional glucose-spike concerns
  • Possible gut sensitivity reports
  • Inconsistent thickness across versions

Oatly earns strong reviews for creamy, dairy-like texture—especially the Barista Edition, which froths reliably for café-level lattes and blends beautifully in coffee, matcha, and baking—while critiques target ingredient lists with added oils/gums and a sometimes sweet or “oaty” aftertaste. Reviews also note occasional gut sensitivity and glucose spikes, plus variability in thickness across versions, making Oatly a standout for performance in drinks but not ideal for those seeking the cleanest formulas.

  • I use Oatly as my go to coffee creamer & even as a touch to my espresso martinis! Such a creamy non dairy alternative to balance your drinks.

  • I never buy any other oatmilk if i can help it. It’s perfect for my coffees and cereal and baking. I love that it has full fat vs original vs lower fat, but all are great, smooth, and fresh.

  • My go-to “milk” beverage at home! I’ve had a dairy allergy my whole life, and I for one and so happy we have so many better options these days! Would love to see this company put out even more products.

  • It does froth well and is creamy, but could be less ingredients and less fattening.

  • i love oatly, it’s my morning routine.

  • The day I tried oatly was the day I stopped consuming dairy...seriously so good

  • It's my favorite brand for out milk - the taste is great and it froths perfectly in my coffee. I usually would opt for the barista version, if available.

  • Couldn’t have oatmeal any other way. This is the only oat milk worth having mixed in with my coffee and it’s creamy.

  • I have switched from cow's milk to oat milk. I tried several other brands, but have stuck to Oatly. It's my favorite.

  • Have always been wary of dairy alternatives, but looked into milk options when my daughter was diagnosed with a milk allergy. Oatly is by far the closest I've found to real milk.

  • Love this milk, super creamy and tastes better than normal milk. Love for lattes!

  • I love everything from this brand! It is great with coffee

  • tastes great, adds a thickness to your coffee that makes it more of a latte.

  • I used to be all about Oatly. For a couple of years I would freak out if the store was ever sold out of it, which actually happened quite often. However... one of the things that makes it delicious is literally canola oil (they use the more european term of rapeseed oil on the package because somehow that is more appealing). Canola oil isn't the devil, but it's not great for you. Organic soy milk for the win.

  • I love oat milk as a concept and a beverage. It does its job of replacing milk well in things like coffee and cereal. Oat milk lattes are delightful, if you haven’t tried them.

  • My absolute favorite brand of oat milk for lattes and matcha. It is super creamy and froths better than any other brand I have used.
