Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

A staple in our household.

Price point. There are other brands that are extremely similar but offered at a lower cost.
Really liked Oatly until I found out about the high Oil content. Super disappointed in that!
DELICIOUS. I used to make my own oat milk before trying this. It is not gummy and tastes great.
I really like this oatmilk, I find it creamy and a good milk replacement. The only issue I have is that sometimes for some drinks it can cover or change the flavor a little bit but it's not a big deal. I still prefer this brand of oatmilk over other brands.

Oatly has done so much for branding recently, and they are ahead of the game in terms of the oat milk market. Their barista edition is the oat milk to buy for lattes, although there are healthier and simpler oat milks out there. For the price, they are just barely worth it.

Release more flavors, use organic/non-gmo ingredients.

Super yum! I saw baristas using this in my drinks and was excited to see it in stores during the pandemic. Tastes great as is, frothed, steamed etc.
Oatly is the only oat milk I’ve used that is creamy, yummy and able to froth. I find it makes the best dairy free lates and I consistently have oatly in my home (and in the office)!

If anything, the carton could offer a variety of sizes.

I absolutely love Oatly. All of their milk tastes great and works well in coffee or matcha. I use the milk daily. I just tried their yogurt because it was on sale, and wasn't impressed by it.

Oatly was my first foray into the non-dairy milk category and I still find it superior to almost all other options on the market. Oat flavor isn't too strong, and the barista edition milk works really well for use with home coffee machines!
I'm lactose intolerant so dairy alternatives are my only option and this is an easy go-to for a grocery store run. I don't have a favorite oat milk at this point but the barista edition of Oatly foams really well so if you're a latte person or like steamed/frothy milk, it's a recommended option.
This brand came in hot — and then burned every bridge they had with their ideal client base. Their controversies around greenwashing likely wiped a good portion of their consumers off the table and into the arms of several, more reasonably priced brands. Baristas we’re especially rubbed the wrong way by their targeted campaigns. While their full fat offering does make a great latte, I rarely reach for it in the aisles. There are too many competitors with similar flavor offerings.

Retool this brand! From head to toe, their failings in the past are too deeply tied to their brand identity to keep doing them any favors. If this is going to be a luxury option — and at this point, with so many competitors, it is — they need an identity that appeals more to Whole Foods moms and less to the punky vegans who have dropped them since the boycott.
I like this brand's products. I used the oat milk and barista oat milk. Both are perfectly creamy and tasty. I use it for cooking, baking, and coffee. I also love their ice cream.
Feedback
There is some health concerns regarding some of the additives. If the ingredients are updated to be more clean I would continue using the products.

Good, but expensive. There are other brands that make oat milk just as well (I actually really love the Chobani, Trader Joe’s , and Costco oat milks). The packaging and hype is definitely what bumps the price up but it’s worth trying the other brands as well.

I use this almost every day. It’s so creamy and it’s such a great alternative to almond milk. I love using this as a creamer or making smoothies with it.

Would love to see more flavors
Great taste, always a happy day with some in my coffee.
The packaging is easy to read and transparent about what is in the oat milk. The Barista addition is the perfect milk for my morning lattes -- it froths the perfect amount while still being silky.

Honestly, I love it. But does oat milk have to be so expensive?

Tasty oat milk! Perfect for froth! Just think it has way too many unnecessary (unhealthy) ingredients.
Feedback
I wish it were more clean and didn’t have so many “bad” or unnecessary ingredients.
My go-to for oat milk when I'm not at Trader Joe's. Delicious and memorable taste.

Pricey pricey in NYC>
The barista edition is the best! It's the only milk we use for lattes in my home.

Wish they had a lighter, lower-calorie version of this too.
High calorie but tastes good in lattes
