I have been using Nuuly for 4+ years now and enjoy getting my package every month. I love that I can rent and try new things instead of buying new clothes, feeling more sustainable. However, in the last year or so, the price has increased for a less enjoyable experience than I have had. Nuuly has gotten so popular that pieces are never in stock, even if you are on the most popular rental cycle! I love the fast 2-3 day shipping; the customer service is awesome. They are always so accommodating and understanding and are quick to respond. It's a risk with any company when you rent, so I love Nuuly's options and designers, I just wish they expanded sizing and quantities so garments can stay in stock for longer!

I've been using nuuly for about 6 months. There is a huge selection which can be overwhelming to sift through if you don't have anything specific in mind. I just found that they even have formal dresses if you have a wedding coming up. I love being able to refresh my wardrobe in a sustainable way. I have gotten an article here and there with a small tear or a missing button but overall quality is very good and everything arrives clean.

Really bad experience. The clothes were okay, they didn’t have much availability in different sizes. The most important part is that they are lying to their customers when they say in the FAQ that there is no late fee for returning after the renewal date. In the FAQ it says that you’ll unlock the next box as soon as UPS scans it, the reality is that you won’t be allowed to rent again until the following cycle, meaning that you paid $98 for one month, returned it one day late, pay $98 for another month without any clothes, and then pay again $98 to be able to rent again. I would not recommend it. Also, I’m pregnant and they do not have a lot of options either for maternity clothes.

Kept a few items for a few months. They automatically charged me to purchase the items while still charging for the subscription and then asked me to pay out of pocket to send back. Make sure you read the fine print because this company tries to trick you. Wouldn’t recommend or ever use again.

I wanted to love it - I was super excited to rent clothes from places like Free People! However, my first shipment arrived with items that were not cleaned. The whole carrier smelled strongly of cigarette smoke with one piece of clothing smelling particularly so. In addition one of the dresses wreaked of a very pungent perfume. It seemed obvious to me that these items were not washed. Another item, a knit sweater, I think was too worn and shrunk to continue to be sent to people - at this point it’s something that I would maybe pay $5 for at Goodwill. I will say that company responded quickly to my complaint and reimbursed me for two items, and gave me two extra spots for clothing next month. I am going to rent again - we’ll see what the items are like when they arrive! I am not super impressed at this time. Rent the Runway was 10x better as far as the quality of clothing I received, and how the items were packaged and cared for. I only stopped subscribing to them because the style of everyday clothing they offer doesn’t really fit my style. It was great for dresses and stylish coats though!

I think Nuuly is a great service for trying out new clothes via rentals, but BEWARE of purchasing anything through the site. I rented a pair of jeans that were great, and decided I wanted to keep them. They were a pricy pair of jeans and were only marked down 10% off the original purchase price to buy USED, so I assumed they must be new-ish/not worn very many times to retain such a high price point. I wore the jeans a handful of times over the next month, and then one day, they split apart completely at the seams and are unwearable now - clearly, the jeans were more worn down than the price point would lead you to believe, and I reached out to customer service about getting a replacement or exchange since they had fallen apart so soon after buying them over what was clearly a lack of quality inspection on their products that allowed them to be marked as $170 for a half worn down pair of pants. The customer service team was polite, but refused to work through any sort of solution as "all sales are final sale" - I would have received better service just buying them directly through the original retailer, who will often replace faulty products for you.

The best brand with the best & new products every month!

Nuuly has cute selections but their logistics are a mess. My order arrived 2 days late (after my event) and everything arrived completely wrinkled. Like in a ball, needs 30 minutes to steam wrinkled. Pretty disappointed. Nuulys customer service didn't do anything to try and remedy the situation.

I love Nuuly and think the the value is definitely worth the price. I’ve rented multiple items that were new with tags. They also have great customer service if I’ve ran into any issues!

Horrible customer service! I moved and changed billing addresses and they told me an old account could not be reactivated and that I needed to make a new one with a new billing address which is impossible. They made it impossible to use the service! So frustrated.

This is the best solution for people who want to always have a closet refresh but don’t want to break the bank. I get giddy every month that my nuuly package arrives, and the brands they have available are top-notch.

The items are very cute, but many are old and I've found some on clearance racks in stores. I'm still trying them out, but am quite frustrated with the shipping. You have to return everything before you can order a new month and then shipping takes 5 or more days. Essentially, you are paying for a month, but only getting the clothes for 3 weeks or less. Also the website doesn't allow to group your liked items so your closet is unorganized. I am hoping they will improve as I prefer the clothes over armoire and like the service over rtr.
