Nuuly Reviews

3.7

Nuuly earns strong reviews for enabling a rotating, trend-forward wardrobe that feels more sustainable and lets users test styles, rent for events or maternity, and optionally buy favorites, but reviews also flag persistent drawbacks: inconsistent garment condition, slow or variable shipping, scarce availability in popular sizes, and no mid-month exchanges. Overall, Nuuly is good if you enjoy trendy variety and can be flexible; those seeking consistent quality, precise sizing, or guaranteed picks may be frustrated.

  • I’ve been using Nuuly off and on for five years now. I used it for vacations initially and then found it was a nice option when I was pregnant. It allowed me to have in between clothes for when I wasn’t fully ready for maternity options yet but didn’t want to buy another wardrobe for a few weeks. There are a number of issues that I think they could work on. The clothing always comes so wrinkled, as if it was balled up in the package when it was wet (but it wasn’t because they’re always so neatly folded when it arrives). Also, you may think an item is available and order it only to find out it’s not and they’ll pick something totally random and insane as a replacement. The last time that happened was a year or so ago so maybe they changed it, but something I got to wear to the office was unavailable and I was sent a pink strapless mini thing instead. I asked customer service why they chose that and they said they had no control. The least they could try to do was pick something from the closet of saves I have on their site. My most recent order was okay, but two of the pants looked extra worn out. For the price that’s annoying. I’ll likely still order with them in the future though.

  • I think Nuuly is a great option for when you're looking for something special to wear. I tried my first box out when I was looking for a dress for graduation photos and had a vacation planned in the same month. For me, the price was worth it because I otherwise would've purchased a dress for just a one time occassion. All the clothing was good condition and fit ok/good.

  • I subscribed to Nuuly for a while and purhcased a few items that I'd rented. I enjoyed the experience more than I thought I would, and found it fun to rent things I either wouldn't really want to invest in without trying first... or rent things I couldn't really afford for the fun of wearing once or twice... or renting things I wasn't sure of my sizing on. If I had the extra cash, I would resubscribe. My weight can fluctuate so I kind of like the option of being able to choose things that I know might not need to be around forever.

  • Nully is a great option for people who are wanting to spend less on new clothing, are bored of their wardrobe or looking for a sustainable option to their clothing. I started getting Nuuly when I started a new job and was no longer working from home. They have a nice selection of brands and options. You have the option to buy any of the items at a discount if you decide to keep them which is what I did for a few items i loved like this dress from Marimeko.
