It's effective at removing pills from clothes, renewing them and giving them a longer lifespan. However, it is more time-consuming compared to traditional ironing or steaming. Some users also find it to be overpriced compared to similar products in the market. Additionally, the packaging is seen as excessive and not environmentally friendly.

This is such a neat product and works so much better than the Scotch sweater pill remover sponge I had tried using previously for this issue (to probably nobody's surprise). I tried it out on a few different sweaters I had. Almost immediately I could start seeing results, not just because the fabric was appearing inside the device, but the pills really did seem to disappear! This product is super simple to use. Just take off the cap and turn it on while placing it flat onto the piece you are fixing up. I was very happy to see that the shaver came already charged and that it uses a USB cord to charge instead of batteries. because the blade is mostly covered by a metal covering, I did not feel worried about damaging any pieces I was shaving on.

While the shaver itself is a bit on the bigger side, a lot of that space is for the lint collector. Besides the chunkiness of the device, I think it is beautifully designed. In particular I love the cap that covers up the blade. It seems to have a very thin magnet around the inner edge, allowing it to pop right onto the device and not fall off. It took me a second of struggle to open the lint collection container, but it came off easily enough. While I might just keep everything in my box, I do also like how they included a bag in the box if you want to take it on the go.

I really do think this product will change the way I pick out clothes. I do a ton of thrifting, and even once in a while, I will attend a clothing swap. There have been times when I will pass on an item because it has too many pills since I did not want to go through the trouble of removing them. Now with this pill shaver, that problem is solved! I cannot wait to use it more whenever I get the chance. 

This fabric shaver is beautifully designed and works perfectly. I’ve tried cheaper fabric shavers from Amazon and they’ve always left holes in my thinner garments. The Nori Shave does not do that at all - I was able to use it on a t-shirt with no damage. Its also bigger than a typical fabric shaver, which makes it easier to de pull a whole garment quickly.

The price point does seem pretty high. I’m torn about the price point because it absolutely works wonderfully and ultimately is probably worth it if you’re willing to spend the money, but I don’t know if I would have bought this without the Thingdrop  discount just because most similar products on the market are so much cheaper.  

I’ve been in the market for a fabric shaver for a while not. Many of the options I have used before are plastic and cheap battery operated models. The Nori fabric shaver is none of these things. The packaging was luxe, and gift ready. Hello moms or grandmas. The device itself was much more solid than other brands available at target or Amazon and rechargeable. The product itself works really well. I tested it out on a couple of cheaper shirts with great results and then moved over to cashmere. It did not disappoint. Overall great experience. 

I've never owned a fabric shaver, so I can't really say how this one compares to others but I love it! Effective, quick and gentle on fabric, I wish I bought one sooner!
UPDATE: Not so safe... I just carved a hole on the collar of my sweater :-( still recommend it but with caution



Really love the pill shaver – I use it primarily on my couch (recently got a kitten) and upgraded from a battery operated one, so the re-chargable wireless shaver was a huuuugeee plus. The thingdrop discount was definitely a push to take the dive, but the quality is really nice and it shaves a lot quicker and better than my previous one. I think this would make a great gift for someone who has a fabric couch or clothing that might pill. It's nice that it comes with a replacement blade and has different shave settings because it's definitely scary shaving thin fabric. 

My only (barely) negative is how chunky it is, probably good ergonomic design but we have a tiny basket for our laundry items in our little Brooklyn apartment, so a slimmer design would have been nice but definitely not a make or break kind of factor. 

I’ve been hearing about the Nori iron for a long time so was very excited to try their new fabric shaver product when it popped up as a Thingdrop. I have a dinky little sweater comb that is not super effective, and I’m now a fabric shaver convert! I was relieved that it was gentle on the sweaters and sweatshirts I tested it on, but still got a lot of the pills and fuzz off! It’s not perfect, I did have to go over some spots several times and noticed some pills still when I wore a sweater after. But definitely much much better. Packaging is nice, and I like that they give additional shaver covers to replace when it gets dull. I did find the button to empty out the fuzz reserve (that’s a technical term, lol) hard to use and a bit cheap feeling but everything else was very chic. It doesn’t look unlike some sort of futuristic sex toy though, so store it with your cleaning/laundry stuff to avoid any confusion, ha. With that, I’m off to gleefully shave the rest of my closet!

I do not have prior experience with fabric shavers, so I have nothing to compare my experience with, but overall the fabric shaver performed well. It took longer than expected to get all of the pilling off of my sweaters, and it was a little less powerful than I would have liked, but it got the job done. I appreciate the design of it, but I know I wouldn't have purchased it without the Thingdrop discount. 

Prior to this, I had ~the~ amazon fabric shaver, and from the moment I opened the Nori one, you could immediately see/feel the quality difference. 

I've tried it on a few sweaters and it works great and fits in my handle comfortably! I love the carrying case and the fact that it comes with extra blades. 

I got the Nori Shaver via the Thingstesting Thing drop. It works really well! I love the packaging that it comes in and stowes away really neatly. The battery life is good and it is easily rechargeable. The fabric shaved off gathers in a bin that is able to be opened and thrown out easily. 

I love my Nori lightweight iron that steams as well! A great item to have that speeds up the process of pressing your clothes.
