The Hydro Boost Gel Cream from Neutrogena is a fabulous product. It’s absolutely amazing in many ways: it strengthens the skin barriers, it’s super hydrating, moisturizing and helps the skin feel smoother. I found this product after seeing so many advertisements on it, and I thought to give it a chance to be surprised of how good this gel cream is. The quality is like high end brands, but less expensive which makes more feasible to continue using the brand. I hope the price range still remains so I can keep buying it. After trying this gel cream I feel more confident about trying other products from this brand. The packaging is great, it’s a 50ml bottle and it lasts for a long time. As you can see from my picture I have this product for the past 4 months and I apply almost everyday and it’s still half bottle. This gel cream has helped me greatly with flaky skin when I am using Tretinoin/Retinol or when my skin feels dry. This gel cream boosts so much hydration without making your face feel heavy on product. I really like the formulation, which is cleaner and without fragrance or bad ingredients for the skin. Works great for sensitive skin too, I tested on my skin when it was super sensitive and did not irritated it at all. I use this product followed by a cream then SPF. But I find that sometimes if I am in a rush and just want to put the gel on my face without any extra steps, the gel cream still locks the moisture and hydration in. This product can be used either day or night. Also works great before makeup, it does not give a cakey effect but rather gives a smooth look to your skin after makeup. I tried with different foundations and the smooth effect is consistent. It works great also before SPF and blends well with different consistency of SPF (even gel like SPF or cream). The smell is very subtle, almost unnoticeable. The gel cream dries easily but still sits on the skin without the greasy feeling. I will definitely purchase the gel cream again! Holy grail!!
