Misfits Market's reviews assert that the brand works as a convenient, mission-driven way to reduce food waste and discover pantry and organic produce, though quality and fulfillment are inconsistent. Strengths cited include a varied selection, easy website navigation, timely delivery/refunds, and interesting pantry finds; weaknesses include frequent produce spoilage or damage, inconsistent packing/packaging, buggy account/order handling, and occasional unauthorized or incorrect charges—information buyers should weigh before subscribing.
I was buying Misfits Market in 2020 and it was an incredible deal! You used to get a huge box full of organic fruits and veggies (literally enough to feed 5 people for a week) for $40. I stopped buying from them around 2021 when their prices went way up.
I love the concept but I wound up cancelling after three orders. The produce didn't last very long and some of it went bad before I could use it (which was only a day or two after I ordered it). I didn't care for the variety of what was offered and surprisingly, I was able to get some of this produce cheaper in my local grocery store. It's too bad because I really wanted to like it.
I used this service prior to the pandemic. While it is great for those who are not able to access an affordable grocery store near by, it did get pricey and their policy no longer work for my lifestyle.
