  • gorgeous candles, especially the mini sets for the holidays. smell great, though sometimes it seems they don't have much throw - but reentering a room i can clearly smell them. burn evenly & for a long time.

  • The candles are amazing, and the scent fills my rooms quickly. I love the number 4 scent the most, and this scent has become our signature scent in our home. The candles are luxurious and expensive, but they burn evenly.

  • The home frangrance options are nice enough, but I very much regret buying the perfume version of Bois de Balincourt - it’s for too old-lady floral. Should have stuck to the reed diffuser option, if anything.

  • The Maison Louis Marie Fleur de Vanille Hair and Body Mist is a luxurious addition to any fragrance collection. Its unique scent profile, combined with skin and hair benefits, offers a refreshing and sophisticated alternative to traditional perfumes. Whether you're seeking a daily scent or a special treat, this mist delivers a clean, hydrating, and aromatic experience. This mist presents a warm and sweet gourmand scent profile. The top notes of raspberry, white citron, and cyclamen flower provide a fresh and fruity opening. The heart reveals vanilla blossom, cane sugar, and clove leaf, adding a creamy and slightly spicy sweetness. The base notes of cashmere musk, smoked birch, and oud ground the fragrance with a soft, woody finish. The result is a scent that is both playful and warm, with a subtle complexity that lingers on the skin and hair.

  • Such a beautiful, floral scent! I received this as a sampler in a Sephora order and enjoyed trying it out this spring. It’s definitely a spring into summer scent, and I find that the perfume oil lasts much longer than the spray sampler I tried in the past.

  • A big fan of the candles and home fragrance. Clean and subtle smell, nothing intrusive. Whimsical design is pretty to the eyes. A great addition to any living space as a decorative piece, or for its unique scent.

  • Amazing candles and perfumes. French brands are so luxurious and transport you to wonderful locations .uplifts your home and gives you a luxury experience at home. No flights to catch for this one. Love it.

  • I love this perfume. I am very pick with smells but I have worn Maison louis marie No.04 Bois de Balincourt for around 5 years now. I think it has great depth and is kind of androgynous, which I like. I have multiple bottles and even bought the candle of the smell.

  • No. 4 Bois de Balincourt is my FAVORITE scent of all time. It's Sandalwood, Vetiver, and Amber Wood. I wear it daily. I've tried other scents too---Anditris Cassis: Cassis, White Rose, and Bergamot---but this is my favorite. They're long-lasting, too! I've had my 15ml perfume oil for almost two years now! I will say, however, that I prefer the Eau de Parfum. I'm not sure if the formula is different, but I somehow prefer the scent of the spray more.

  • Absolutely obsessed with the no4 scent. I have purchased the candle, perfume, and the perfume oil and have loved all of them. I am going to repurchase both the perfume and the candle in the near future. Also wore it on my wedding day!

  • Maison Louis Marie has fully earned its spot as my everyday go to for fragrance. I’ve been using the No.04 Bois de Balincourt perfume daily, both the full size and a trusty travel version I keep with me at all times, and I’m obsessed. It’s warm, woody, a little earthy, and just addictive. I also have the body oil in the same scent, which layers beautifully and makes the fragrance last even longer. Let’s be real: it’s often called the “poor man’s Le Labo,” and I mean that in the best possible way. You get that same elevated, boutique, gender-neutral scent profile, without the triple digit price tag. It’s subtle but memorable, and people always ask what I’m wearing. This is one of those products I’d genuinely be sad without. Elegant, wearable, and signature status worthy.

  • Maison Louis Marie scents are so good. I know Bois is popular but I love the Nouvelle Vague scent. I have it in the candle and perfume oil. The perfume oil is surprisingly long lasting and not too overpowering.

  • I’ve tried a few of these and bought number 13. However, I am reviewing no. 4. It smells slightly of alcohol upon application but dries into a warm cinnamon sandalwood smell and I like it. You can smell the amber wood also.

  • Maison Louis Marie is a new brand that has an incredible story and history. Knowing that Marie started her company by making candles in her own kitchen speaks volumes to me about how passionate a founder is about their creations. I love that all of the fragrances play homage to Marie’s family legacy. It is a very minimalistic brand that gives a very timeless, unique and luxurious vibe. No 14 - Icila was created to make us aware of the here and now. A great reminder of the present (and to stay present!) I am even more aware of stopping and paying attention to the small details in my day and what is going on around me - especially when I catch a glimpse of the Icila perfume I spritzed on my wrist and neck throughout the day. It truly is a fragrance that I’ve never experienced before and I have no other fragrance in my arsenal to compare it to. It’s almost difficult for me to describe exactly what I smell when I put it on because it’s so different. It is timeless, invigorating and grounding. I smell it on myself all day long and I like that I experience different notes throughout the day. It makes me feel beautiful when I am wearing it.

  • I am a huge fan of scents inspired by nature, and gravitate towards Maison Louis Marie as a brand for their attention to this. They also specialize is non-toxic perfumes and sustainable packaging, and are members of the fabulous 1% for the planet organization. I'm definitely here to support that!!! I love woody, earthy scents and was excited to try this one inspired by the perfumer's childhood home. I love scents because of their connection with memories and I think that this is an intimate expression of that. The top notes are sandalwood and cedarwood, mid notes are vetiver, nutmeg, and cinnamon, and the subtle base note is amber wood. Sounds like a lot right? The opening of sandalwood and cedarwood is somehow both true and light- it's not a heavy woody scent, despite being 100% woody. It carries more of a powdery tone, which really comes out in the dry-down. The vetiver, sandalwood, and amber wood start to shine after awhile, with a hint of spicy nutmeg and cinnamon. The spray is alcohol based, and doesn't linger long on skin, but has great staying power on clothing. This smells like a luxury perfume, but it very affordable for the quality it provides. It's a true unisex fragrance as well (trees are for everyone hahaha). It's become a staple in my household and I look forward to not only purchasing this one again, and discovering more from the house of Maison Louis Marie. Well done.

  • I recently started purchasing this brand and really love the refreshing scents that don’t feel overpowering. Very subtle but in a good way. The price is on par with other candle brands and doesn’t leave a Smokey residue like some candles. The candle colors seem slightly off and not sure if I just got a funky batch. Usually they are an off white but my last order was very yellow. Again could be the scent has a specific color.

  • I have the perfume No 4 and I think it smells divine. I fell in love with the smell when trying it on at Sephora. I was gifted the bottle soon after but I have found the staying power to be kind of lame. It seems as if it stays for an hour and then the smell disappears. And I know you may not smell it on yourself but my boyfriend agrees the smell is weak and vanishes soon after. It’s a bummer because it is such a wonderful smell. I wouldn’t buy again solely because that is important to me. I’m not sure if that happens with the other scents though. May need to try the oil.

  • I purchased scent no. 04 since it's said to be a dupe for Le Labo's Santal 33. It definitely smells almost identical, but the scent does not stay all day in the same way that Le Labo's does, but at $60 I can't reallyyyy complain.

  • The appearance of Maison Louis is on the simple side, which I like. I don’t have to worry about it matching with items around my room or in the bathroom, because the box is white and the bottle itself is clear. Theme: When spraying Bois De Balincourt, I am instantly transported to the woods. It gives me cozy vibes like I am by a campfire. In my opinion, I do like the fragrance but it gives me more fall-time wear. I am mentioning this because of the middle notes of nutmeg and cinnamon. With the two notes, I am instantly transported to autumn time. Scent: The Bois De Balincourt is perfect for a person who doesn’t like sweet scents. The notes in the perfume are all wood, which means they’re more on the warm, earthy side. I noticed there is one floral note, but it goes perfectly with the wood notes because it is on the dry grass mixed with the citrus side. Wear time: I always spray my perfume on my wrists, since it stays the longest on me. I am a person who doesn’t spray a lot only two to three times. When timing myself, the longest number 4 last on me is about Five to six hours without respraying. Bios De Balincourt, I noticed is a little bit stronger than their No.14, making it last longer, if you’re a person that doesn’t like to keep respraying.
