Magic Spoon largely satisfies those seeking a healthier, high‑protein, low‑sugar riff on nostalgic cereals, according to reviews, but it is not universally loved. Reviewers praise its 13g protein per serving, gluten‑free/grain‑free formulas, fun flavors like Fruity, Cocoa, Cinnamon Roll, and Maple Waffle, and cheerful packaging; common complaints cite an artificial or stevia/monk‑fruit aftertaste, gummy texture that sticks to teeth, flavor inconsistency (especially some chocolate/peanut butter variants), limited satiety for some, and very small, pricey boxes.

I was really excited to try Magic Spoon because I love their mission and cereal with protein seemed amazing. I tried Fruity, Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Frosted and my favorite was Fruity. The cereal left a weird feeling on my teeth and sometimes had a strange aftertaste.

Magic spoon is a quick easy way to add a little protein to our kids breakfast in a fun easy way! Our two picky eaters loved the fruit loops version of this tasty cereal

Double the price of the average cereal, but the difference in this "lux" cereal is made up in relatively nice macros, good flavor, and higher quality ingredients. Used to be something I can only get online, but recently, I've been able to find it at my local grocery store (Walmart being one)

It was a great way to feel the same nostalgia that I got from eating my favorite childhood cereals, but in a healthier way! My favorite flavor was cocoa, which gave me that perfect chocolate goodness I needed. Since starting Keto, i've been making the effort to do better with my sugar intake.

The only thing I would consider is making snack sizes, or on the go pouches! It allows for more variety, and a better alternative.

I appreciate the care they have as an alternatives healthy breakfast solution - it’s nice when they actually do well. I’ve feel they’ve kept caring to their small customers (like me) as the adoption has spread. I would highly recommend the brand - you’re missing out and I hope more variety’s are coming.

I wish it was more widespread so I could get it during regular grocery shopping. I am not a fan of having to get food from different places.

Definitely not a cereal for budget-conscious families.

I get swayed easily by podcast ads, and that’s why I ended up buying these cereals. The main reason I didn’t like them was they left a sticky film on my teeth and felt like I wanted to brush my teeth asap. The taste was ok- not crave-worthy, and despite their advertising that it doesn’t taste like “healthy” cereals, I still felt like it tasted like alternative cereals.

Absolutely loved this product. Being someone who takes my health and fitness very seriously, Magic Spoon is a great way to enjoy those childhood favourites as an adult while paying attention to macros!

I have tried every single flavor and there are only a couple that aren’t my favorite but not because I think NO ONE will like them, they just weren’t my cup of tea. Unpopular opinion: I’m not a fan of chocolate 😬. However I am addicted to their Peanut Butter cereal, Fruity Cereal, Blueberry Muffin, and Apple Cinnamon Cereals and I am a subscribe & save member as I eat a bowl nearly daily. It helps me meet my macros without completely blowing it with carbs. I’ll never go back to OG cereal again!

I recommend buying off their website as there are bundle deals as when I’ve seen single boxes in stores like Target, they are a little pricy for a smallish box of cereal. However a single box will give you 3-5 servings depending on how big of a bowl you pour yourself.

The cereal was fairly bland but seemed nutritious. Overall product experience was good with good packaging.

Needs to taste a lot better to justify the price tag

This is a good option if you're trying to do a low-carb diet and are craving cereal, and it has a much better nutritional profile than regular cereal. I don't do it every day, but it's handy to have around for a healthier option. It's also more expensive than regular cereal, but they offer a discount if you subscribe to regular shipments.

Love the variety of flavors! Definitely a healthy alternative for breakfast or a midnight snack. I don’t feel too heavy after eating this which was nice!

Cereal is one of my favorite joys in life. I've mainly reached for high sugar cereals as a snack, or just to have around the house. I appreciated that this cereal has the same fun feel, but made of way healthier ingredients. I've found it doesn't leave me with a crash midday, and I feel fairly full off of a serving size. I've only tried the cocoa so far, but really liked the flavor.

This cereal is really sticky on the teeth. I have to brush my teeth really well after having this. The price point is comparably very high to other cereals, which isn't a major deterrent, but I will certainly buy it less.

The peanut butter SLAPS. It's so good and the perfect high-protein sweet treat (I'm a cereal for dessert kind of gal.)

I love this cereal! It tastes SO delicious--the cocoa is chocolatey and leaves my milk super flavored, the peanut butter one tastes on POINT, and hidden faves like Blueberry are unexpectedly super good--and I eat basically a bowl a day, sometimes as a meal substitute. Love the crunch and the colorful boxes too :)

Honestly, not much could have been better :) It's so yum and such a great option for lots of lifestyles.

Really happy I can eat cereal again! I find myself eating for dessert most of the time. Peanut butter is my fave.

Peanut butter, chocolate, and frosted all had great flavor!
Feedback
Slightly too sweet for me, but in line with childhood cereals. Also sticks in your teeth too much while eating.

Tried the 4pk, frosted/fruity/chocolate/peanut butter. My toddler likes it. The mung fruit used to sweeten it is not as overpowering as other products.
Feedback
For some reason the cereal is kind of gummy, it gets weirdly tacky.

I tried the fruity flavor and it tasted just like the full sugar brands. I liked that it didn’t have a fake sweetener flavor. I’m just disappointed at how expensive it is and that they don’t plan on doing any vegan options.
